Overview

Photos and Description of this 6 bedroom holiday home in Jackson

House, 6 Bedrooms, 5.5 Baths, (Sleeps 16)

Our home can accommodate a maximum of 8 adults per rental group and up to an additional 8 children for a total of 16.

A peaceful luxurious environment awaits you as you enter this spectacular mountain estate home, enjoying 180 degree westerly views of the Presidential Mountains. A huge open contemporary for large groups with warm hardwood interiors and plenty of privacy including 4 bedrooms which are private suites with their own private full bathrooms.

Featured on the front page of the state's largest newspaper ( August 2005, Union Leader ) as one of New England's finest views, this home is truly a special mountain escape. A place where you can relax and enjoy the beauty of the White Mountains, the Presidential Range, and the beautiful, vibrant village of Jackson, New Hampshire.

A winding driveway leads you to this one-of-a-kind warm and inviting home, built at a cost of $1.6 million in 1999. It is perfectly sited on ten acres of land overlooking Jackson Village. The walls of glass offer stunning sunsets and spectacular western views of the Presidential Mountains. The quality marble, granite, mahogany, and Brazillian hardwoods used to construct the wide open spaces will enhance your vacation experience. You will enjoy the mahogany and glass gazebo with six-person hot tub while sipping a favorite beverage, especially after a long day of skiing at any the three local ski mountains or the famous Jackson Cross country ski trails nearby. Or perhaps you'll enjoy the bubbling water of the hot tub after a challenging hike or round of golf in nearby Jackson.

This gorgeous, contemporary post and beam Lindal Cedar Home is in impeccable condition. A dramatic entry way leads you into a large open space anchored by a beautiful granite fireplace reaching up to the 25 foot tall clear cedar ceilings and surrounded by rich Brazilian cherry hardwood floors.

The spectacular kitchen with stunning granite countertops and a matching granite dining table shares sunset views of the Presidential Mountains (including Mount Washington, Tuckerman Ravine, and Attitash).

This large open kitchen includes only the best appliances... in duplicate of course :-) Two Bosch dishwashers, Two Thermador ovens, Two Kohler sinks, a SubZero refrigerator, wine cooler and a Viking stove. And that is only the upstairs kitchen!

Downstairs is another kitchen in the family room with refrigerator, microwave, and dishwasher which is really convenient after billiards or popcorn and a movie (viewed on a 55 inch flat screen TV ), in front of yet another granite fireplace. Views downstairs are spectacular with sliders opening out to a stone veranda overlooking the Presidential range.

The recently refurnished romantic master bedroom is a large suite with a king sized four poster bed and sitting area in front of the gas fireplace with a marble surround. It leads to a deck overlooking the mountains. Amenities include a beautiful cherry cabinet which houses a 32 inch TV above the marble fireplace. The master bath is covered in luxurious cream marble with a glass block curved wall shower, double sinks and an UltraBain hydro-thermo massage bath.

This home has six bedrooms including two bedrooms with TV's which play DVDs and VCR tapes.

Of the six nicely appointed bedrooms - four of them are en-suite with full baths.

The final two bedrooms include two bunk beds with trundle beds below (sleeping 6 kids) and two twin beds sharing a double sink full bathroom with tub and shower.

Our home sleeps a maximum of 8 adults per rental group with up to an additional 8 children for a total of 16. We do not rent our home for weddings, events or functions of any sort.

Additional Amenities:

A 55' Flat screen smart TV in Family Room --- 6 person hot tub placed in custom built mahogany gazebo off master bedroom deck --- Concierge available --- Wireless Broadband available throughout the home.

Damage/security deposit required -- No Pets or Smokers (either as guests or visiting) .... NO EXCEPTIONS regardless of circumstances...Thank you for your understanding. Rental fee is for a maximum of 8 adults and up to an additional 8 children for a total of 16. We do not allow weddings or events on the property.

Truly a luxurious peaceful home built to the highest quality standards!!

Why The Owner chose Jackson

Jackson is a perfect example of what a New England village represents. USA TODAY selected Jackson as one of the most romantic towns in North America. Maybe it's the two covered bridges, the cascading Wildcat River and Falls running through town, or the quaint New England architecture on display.

Situated in the heart of 972,000 acres of National Forest, Jackson is the perfect location ... and JacksonEstate is by far, the nicest home, with the best views available for vacation rental.

WOW! A Piece of Heaven on Earth

  • 5 of 5

We shared the Jackson Estate with a group of close friends (8 adults, 10 girls under 8 years old) for February 2016 ski week and enjoyed every minute. The home is spectacular and was the perfect home base as the group explored Cranmore, North Conway, Attitash, and the Jackson XC trails. Everyone had their own favorite part from the perfect mud room, to the bunk bed room that fit six girls, to the well-appointed kitchen (every chef's dream!), to the master bath (my six-year-old's favorite), to the hot tub, and of course the Great Room with the magnificent views. For me, my favorite memory was mid-week when we had a lovely 8" snowfall and it felt like we were in a snow globe watching it from the house and nestled near the roaring fire! The owner is extremely responsive and I enjoyed our correspondences leading up to the trip. Onsite, we were greeted by the house manager who showed us the property and had a wonderful spread ready with chilled wine, sparkling cider, and chocolate-covered strawberries. It was a spectacular way to celebrate Valentine's Day and begin our vacation! Thank you for sharing a piece of heaven on earth!

Owner's Response: Thank you so much for letting us know that you had a wonderful week in Jackson. I loved your description of being inside the house while it was snowing as looking like a snow globe. It was also nice of you to mention Janet and all she does to welcome guests. She is an important part of our team and we could not run the house without her. We appreciate the care she takes and special touches she puts into welcoming our guests. We look forward to welcoming you and your friends back next winter!

Beautiful Mountain-Top Getaway!

  • 5 of 5

My extended family and I just came home from a wonderful weekend away at the Jackson Estate. We enjoyed skiing at Bretton Woods this time, but this location is close to at least 5 other ski resorts. There are many great things about this home but the MOST SPECTACULAR is the VIEW! You can see a complete panoramic view of the White Mountains out the floor to ceiling picture windows (including Mt. Washington.) As I appreciated the view, I realized it reminds me very much of the beautiful mountainous terrain in Southern Germany where my relatives live. Aside from the mesmerizing view, the home has COMFY beds, a relaxing outdoor (in gazebo) HOT TUB (with view), pool table, fireplaces etc... A superb getaway for any time of year! Last time we were here we saw a deer out the window. Hope to see a moose next time!

Owner's Response: Thank you for taking the time to let us know that you had another nice vacation in Jackson. You are not the only guest who has visited us in both the summer and during the winter. There is so much to do in the Mt. Washington Valley in all seasons. The view is spectacular and watching the weather systems that form over Mt. Washington is fascinating. I had not considered the similarity to the mountains of Germany, but I believe that Hannes Schneider who started the ski school at Mt. Cranmore thought something very similar, that the White Mountains reminded him of his Austrian home. We hope that you can visit us again soon!

Spectacular!

  • 5 of 5

Our stay at The Jackson Estate was absolutely perfect! This home provided us with all the upper-end amenities for which one could ask. From my 84 year old mother to my 4 year old niece, our family could not have asked for a more perfect weekend! The estate and the views nature provided were a piece of heaven for our large family weekend!

Owner's Response: We have other regular guests with large families with a variety of ages and they have also found that our Jackson home is a great place to stay together. It is comfortable for older parents, but there is plenty to do in the house and the area for the younger family members. The size of the kitchen and living area accommodates a good sized group and guests never feel like they are all crammed together. We hope that you will come back to vacation in Jackson again.

Spectacular view!! Great family vacation

  • 5 of 5

View was amazing--one of the best we found. The house is designed for great views--from the terrace, the hot tub, decks and the wall of windows. We had our children, grandchildren, ourselves and siblings. It is a wonderful house for a family vaction. There was great space to have group time and lots of space for private time. Plenty of bedrooms with private baths. Clean, nice bedding and plenty of towels. Beautiful kitchen with a more well stocked panty than expected. Having a laundry was a plus. A memorable week!

Owner's Response: We think the fact that the house is used by family and friends throughout the year makes a difference. They are using the same housewares that our guests are. We want the house to be nice both for both our family and for our guests. We keep it in tip top shape and address any maintenance issues promptly. We think this is why we have so many repeat guests. We hope that your travels bring you back to Jackson some day.

Stunning Views

  • 5 of 5

This home is a must-see! The views are spectacular!

The photos don't do it justice!

The home is furnished with comfort in mind for all ages and types. There is something for everyone and all ages - hot tub; pool table; foosball; and of course the view! Everything about this home is quality - from the linens to the well stocked kitchen that allows for any type of cooking/entertaining. Upon arrival we were greeted by Janet, the delightful property manager, who had wine, fruit, and cheese ready to welcome us. She promptly gave us the tour and we were immediately impressed with the cleanliness and obvious care that has been taken in this home. The spacious layout allows every guest to have their own "space" if needed. If you want to be entertained via the TV there is a nice selection and variety of DVD's as well as cable. There is a beautiful patio as well as a deck to lounge on. This is a location in which to be one with nature - we saw a red fox that delighted the children and took very nice walks. It is also close enough to town that you can grab a meal out, see a movie, or browse in the many unique stores, without feeling that you are driving forever. This is truly a memorable vacation home - ideal for extended family gatherings such as ours. We can't wait to be able to spend another fabulous week there! I would highly recommend this property rental to anyone looking to stay in the Jackson area - simply marvelous!

Owner's Response: I am so glad that you were able to getaway with your family. The Mt. Washington Valley is great for vacationing year round, except perhaps for late spring mud season, but even then you can relax by the fire and in the hot tub. Please come back and stay again.
