Visit www.arc-en-provence.com Our villa, Arc-en-Provence, nestles under mature oaks in the heart of the countryside just outside the village of Lorgues. We have two apartments and a studio available of which The Lavender is the largest. Part of the villa is over 300 years old and was probably and old bergerie in its prime. The remains of an old medieval road pass through our grounds and are an indication of the history which permeates this part of Provence.

I loved this studio. I would return year after year. Beautiful setting, clean and friendly, tranquil. It is within easy driving distance to the village of Lorgues and the other villages and towns are easily accessible. It exceeded my expectations in every way and made my holiday very enjoyable. I only wish I had remained in this studio for 2 weeks instead of moving to Italy for the second week.

Lorgues, which is only 2km away, is a small attractive Provençal town in the heart of Provence, not far from the Italian border and the Mediterranean (see map). We are close enough to the sea (40min) for a swim in the blue Mediterranean, yet enjoy peaceful countryside and of course, its vineyards. Lorgues has one of the largest markets in the Var which has to be seen to be believed. Here you can buy anything from a double bed to a bunch of grapes. There are also many cafés to enjoy a coffee or glass of wine whilst relaxing outside in the warm sun, or under the shade of the avenue of lime trees which frame the main street. Narrow lanes branch of the main street and contain many old and pretty mediaeval buildings. 30km to the North is the spectacular scenery of the Verdun Gorges and the mountains of Haute Var.
