About this property

Built in 2008, the lodge sits on our family owned and operated bison ranch in Coalmont, CO. We are about 1/2 an hour SW from Walden & minutes away from Routt County National Forest. Excellent fishing and hunting. Ideal home base for snowmobilers and ATV enthusiasts. Nearby trails are minutes away so trailer out or leave directly from the ranch. Plentiful hiking trails and camping sites as well. Enjoy world class skiing or go for a soak at the hot springs in Steamboat Springs, just 50 minutes away. In late summer and early fall, take a scenic drive over Buffalo Pass. The fall colors are spectacular when the leaves are at their peak. Wildlife viewer and birdwatchers' paradise! Moose, elk, deer, antelope, and eagles are frequently seen in the area. The Rabbit Ears are visible on a clear day. Enjoy your coffee while watching our buffalo roam!

Home includes full kitchen, pool room, wood-burning stove, laundry room, garage & BBQ grill. Wall mounted tv's in each master suite. Wi-fi available. No land line, cell service only (AT&T most reliable).

Great stay

This house was very comfortable for our family. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. The house looks new inside and out and is very well taken care of. The views of the surrounding mountains are beyond spectacular. The owners are very responsive and nice. Definitely want to return.

Wonderful Getaway

EWR is a beautiful and peaceful place. The house is amazing and we had a terrific stay with our teenage boys. The Pool Room was such a nice feature and the whole house is well designed and comfortable. Thanks for a great stay!

Ski Squad's Delight

We had plenty of room had tons of fun playing pool and admiring the bison running around in the snow. We were able to drive to Steamboat for skiing during the day easily even with snow coming in each night. Make sure you have 4-wheel drive!

Amazing

The House and Beautiful Views were amazing. Julie, Jim and Bob were very nice and helpful. It was a great place to stay and will go back definitely. The Buffalo were quite entertaining too.
