Golf: There are many golf courses within easy reach and the oldest being the Royal Golf Club .This is the preferred one . There is a set RT handed clubs at the riad that can be used by guests and other sets can be hired at the club house. A round is approx £25 with £5 for obligatory caddy. The best of holiday golf in a very pretty setting.A days riding in the hills can be arranged .
Staff: Aziza and Mbarak look after the house throughout the year.Aziza is a skilled cook offering a choice of both local and European cuisine. Lunch is 100dh per head and dinner 150dh excluding wine that can be purchased by arrangement. Children under 10 are gratuit .Meals are served at table on the terrace or in the dining room, and you can discuss the menu with her. Aziza speaks good French and is learning English. Mybarak, the houseman, is on hand to help Aziza with the cleaning and run errands. Aziza will take ladies to the local Hammam - an experience in itself! A local masseuse can be arranged to come to the house.
What to do: Hameed who picks you up from the airport, has good English and French and a 7 seater people carrier . There is a house mobile phone that is available and phone cards are arranged. This cuts down the cost of local phoning for restaurants etc and Aziza is always available if there is an emergency! Aziza will also arrange trips with Hameed to the mountains or around the city. Go on the house scooter with Mbarak to stock up on wine! At your own risk. Time out Guide to Marrakech is recommended and I have a list of recommended restaurants and places to see and things to do.
I would definitely recommend this property located in the heart of the beautiful old medina, within walking distance of the souks and the djemaa el fna square.
It is a "hidden pearl" in Marrakech!
Also the Staff was amazing and very helpful. They provided us with all necessary information and surprised us with their delicious local cooking.
We enjoyed our stay in riad njemma to the fullest.
Thank you John!

My husband and I stayed at this beautiful Riad for 12 days, and from the moment we enquired about the Riad to the day we left, service was absolutely impeccable.
We were picked up at the airport by a 'grand taxi' and driven to the Riad, where we met the staff that were to look after us at the Riad, Aziza and Mbarak. Their attention throughout was attentive, without being intrusive, which is just what we needed.
The Riad itself is large, with beautiful rooms with high ceilings surrounding a courtyard which is well kept and serene. The attention to detail in terms of style is without a doubt one of the lovely things about this Riad, and ensures that you could easily while away the days in the Riad without seeing anything of Marrakech! Each large bedroom has a gorgeous shower room en suite, in traditional tadelakt, with huge shower heads and plenty of hot water!! Impeccably clean throughout.
The terrace is beautiful, gorgeous plants everywhere, and very well kept. The surrounding area is 'authentic Marrakech', and you will definately be immersed in the culture of Morocco just stepping out of the Riad front door... plenty to see!
Breakfast was served daily with the minimum of fuss, fresh coffee, fresh everything! It was a real treat to stay here, and we would definately do so again given half a chance!
Thank you to John for the great communication throughout, and thank you to the wonderful staff for making our stay memorable and relaxing!
What a fantastic Riad! From the outside you have no idea as to what beauty and luxury awaits you on the inside. The Riad is lovingly restored and is an oasis in amongst the the streets of the Medina. There are personal touches and the workmanship of the materials and building work is superb. The Riad is clean, beautifully kept and it was wonderful to return each day/evening to relax and enjoy it.
Aziza & Mbarek are great! Aziza will cook the evening meal & we ate in the dining room, on the terrace and each time it was a feast. When Mbarek goes to get supplies, highly recommend hitching a ride on the back of his "mobylette" and having a tour of the streets! Mbarek will help you find your way to the Djemaa & souks. Aziza loves children and will babysit if adults want to go out for the evening.
Hameed will collect you and take you to the airport and is also availble for transport to the mountains or further afield. His English was better than our French!
We loved our stay and when return to Morocco there is only one place we will stay! We cannot recommend this Riad and its staff enough. It was a wonderful and relaxing place to stay.
the riad is located in the north of the Medina and you feel right at the heart of Marrakech's unique energy. Aziza and Mbarak are excellent at making you feel warmly welcomed. They are attentive without being overbearing, and as has been mentioned before, Aziza is a great cook.
The house is stylishly decorated in a mix of classic and modern North African with a European twist. Each bedroom is unique and feels welcoming: the master bedroom plus open plan bathroom is absolutely lovely. The main courtyard is the real success of the building: an impressive palm tree curves down to the essential plunge pool and it's encircled by lights which cast an alluring light on the tiles as the sun sets.
The setting sun can also be enjoyed from the fantastic rooftop terrace, complete with sun shade, banquettes and BBQ.
Great stay all in all, thoroughly recommended...

We spent a wonderful five days at the Riad Njema.
Marrakech is a fabulous city, but being able to relax in this beautiful riad really made the trip unforgettable. The riad itself is cosy and stylish, and very well kept. The staff, Aziza and Mbarek, is extremely friendly, hospitable and helpful. Aziza’s cooking was the best we had tasted during our holiday!
Many thanks to all of them and John for an amazing holiday. We are looking forward to our next visit.

The riad is situated in the northern part of the medina Marrakech. Marrakech is about 30km from the Lower Atlas and about 200km from the Atlantic coast. Both being easily accessible by car, bus or taxi. Trips to the local countryside, Ourike Valley or further to the beaches of Essaouira or a couple of days in desert can be organized by Aziza at the house. Aziza will also arrange travel to the local golf courses or if you wish to have a few hours and lunch with a swim at the many places listed in the Guide books.
