Beautifully maintained spacious apartment ideally situated in the delightful traditional Spanish village of Jesus Pobre, backing on to the Montgo National Park and only a short drive from Javea/Denia. Furnished to a high standard, this luxury apartment is fully air con/heated and offers total comfort. Lounge/Dining area with CD, DVD player and TV (UK Free Satellite/Spanish National) leads on to balcony (great for al fresco dining). Fully equipped separate kitchen, with granite worktops, oven, hob, micro, dishwasher, wash/dryer machine, fridge/ freezer, also offers access to balcony. The lower floor bedrooms, double + twin have fitted wardrobes and bathroom facility. Feature beech spiral staircase to master bedroom with walk-in wardrobes and en suite bathroom. Access from Master to large roof terrace (sun trap) with teak steamer beds and enviable views across valley and mountains. For your enjoyment, extremely well maintained communal pool, with showers/toilets, garden areas, seating and a safe childs play area.

Holiday in Jesus Pobre, relax and enjoy the delights of a traditional pretty Spanish village. Very close to the Town of Javea, where you can enjoy the Arenal (sandy beaches), bustling fishing port and historical old town, full of Spanish culture. All three areas offer a wide selection of restaurants and bars. This part of coastal Spain has not been over developed and the countryside is surrounded by an abundance of orange and lemon groves.

You are in easy reach of Benidorm which includes Mundoma Marine animal park, Aqualandia water park, Terra Mitica and Terra Natura fun park and the famous 'Benidorm Palace' dinner and exotic shows.

Over 3,000 hours of sun per year. Summer temperatures can reach 40 and winter temperatures rarely drop below 10. This makes for an all year round ideal holiday location.

Sometimes all you want to do is relax on the terrace or by the pool and then be able to walk to a local restaurant/bar in the evening. Alternatively, after an active day out there is nothing better than taking a short stroll in the evening to a local Spanish restaurant/bar. Jesus Pobre allows you to do this and you will find that all the local restaurants are not only welcoming, but also not overpriced and very child friendly. A great alternative!

Also, there is a very small local Thursday market in

village - amazing veg, fresh fruit and meats for those who wish to spend an evening at home relaxing and sitting peacefully on balcony overlooking the valley (for al fresco dining). There is also a Sunday market in the village and once a month, an antique market.

There is also a lovely Church in the village, well worth a look and everyone is welcome.

JESUS POBRE: There are a few small Spanish villages that have never lost the charm of sparsely populated areas and have preserved their own personality and unique characteristics and Jesus Pobre is one such village. Lying inland between the towns of Javes and Denia and Gata de Gorgos next to the impressive Montgo mountain, this pretty village is a haven of peace and tranquility. Its history is evident in the ruins of the 18th century grain mills and the culture of its vines. Olives and moscatel grapes are harvested traditionally and one of the village's main fiestas, del Cabrerot is held around October once the grape harvest is over.

Lovely little place!

My husband and I stayed at this gorgeous modern apartment in June 2011. Surprisingly, the other apartments in the small complex seemed mostly empty and we never once had to share the pool! The apartment itself was spacious, modern, immaculately presented and had everything you could want including a great supply of books and DVDs. The suntrap from the master bedroom is superb, and apart from the odd car going past every couple of hours which did not cause even a stir, it was extremely peaceful and enjoyed stunning views. Equally nice was the balcony accessed from the living room and kitchen where we ate all our meals if staying in! It even has a BBQ! The village itself was charming, but for those that want a choice of restaurants/bars/shops Javea or Denia is where you want to be. If you like cooking at home, and don't mind a short drive or taxi to go somewhere on an evening then this won't we a problem! That said, we did eat out at one of the smaller restaurants in Jesus Pobre one evening and it was fab! We wanted a quiet, rural getaway which we got, but could still walk to smaller shops for essentials. Anyone who doesn't mind driving will find you can make this destination suit what you're looking for as there is so much within easy reach (unless you want a city break!) We would come back with kids, our parents, it's great for all! I would recommend Masymas supermarket for your food shopping. It has a better selection than the others you'll see and it's the nearest and best choice. If you want luxurious accommodation in a sleepy rural village, stunning views but 10 mins by car to beaches, shops, bars, restaurants and traditional Spanish life then this is the place for you! Whilst Javea and Denia do cater for tourists, they certainly haven't compromised on tradition or charm. Would definitely recommend this location and apartment, we enjoyed every minute :-)

great apartment, great holiday

We decided to spend a week here after reading so many positive reviews and we really have to say that you find what you see in the photos and read in the description. the flat was easy to be found thanks to detailed gien information, it was perfectly clean and well-maintained. the kitchen has everything you need and even more than you usually expect from a holiday apartment. dishwasher and washing maching are usefull. The five of us, 2 adults and 3 teens, had plenty of space for us and our stuff; having two bathrooms made things easier and cut time after the beach.
air/co worked and was not too noisy, good bed and matresses madeus sleep well at night. We always went to the beach, the kids spent only a few hours in the swimming pool and liked it. we often saw someone cleaning it in the morning and it was quiete and not very crowded. In the living room you have some information about the area/supermarkets/restaurant/facilities/interesting places to visit...which made our life easier. In case you like films, a good wide choice of dvds is provided. Enjoy a local market on Sunday afternoon just opposite the building. I'd recommend it to people who like staying in a nice quiete place but close to beach, restaurants and clubs and enjoy small details such as matching colors in curtains,linen, cushions and things like that

Lovely home from home apartment

A very comfortable and well appointed apartment in a small quaint Spanish village.
The accommodation has everything you could need for a really relaxing holiday - even English TV!

A car is essential to get around and the underground car park space is a real bonus when the temperature gets hot.

Javea and Moraira are not too far away by car and for those that need retail therapy a shopping mall at La Marina can fulfil that need. Recommend the cappuccino at "Art Cafe" very reasonable and delicious.

The owners information was both clear and helpful throughout the booking process.

Would certainly be on our list of recommendations to family & friends.

Purfect home whilst being away!!!!

My husband and I rented this apartment for two reasons, it sounded idillic and situated 5 minutes from our children and grand-children who were also hoilidaying. We wanted to surprise them and be able to have the grand-children to stay, which all went to plan..
We were able to check into the apartment earlier than advertised (due to early morning flight). From the moment we collected the keys to our departure we had a most enjoyable week. Although the village appeared sleepy there was lots going on from flea to antiques market (I brought a lovely antique box home with me!)
The Apartment itself was clean, comfortable and well equiped. There was a great choice of restaurants to choose from close by, we were very pleased the beach wasn't too far away, with a great shopping.
I would "definitely" recommend this property, great communication from the owner, nothing seemed too much trouble. Thank you..

Great Apartment in lovely village

We have just returned from spending a lovely week in your Apartment in Jesus Pobre. Everthing exceeded our expectations with both the facilities and the village. The Aparment was spottlessly clean with all the necessities a family needs and a few luxuries - english TV for my two boys during siesta!

The pool was great and often very quite even though it was peek Season. The underground parking was very useful for keeping the car cool. The roof terrace was just glorious with lovely views of the Mountain and the location is perfect if you are looking to enjoy some real spaniish culture - the farmers market with dancing was a real treat.

We'd love to come back again and maybe explore more of the wondeful coastline and mountains next time- the week went far too quickly.

Lovely apartment in quiet village

As previous reviewers have testified the apartment is very nice and did not disappoint. The master bedroom will match any five star hotel. We particularly enjoyed early mornings reading on the balcony. The apartment is equi-distant to both Javea and Denia beaches. We enjoyed visits to both. We also visited the large shopping mall only 10 minutes away. To visit the nearby towns, it is best to use the motorway as it is far quicker. We found the residents of the apartment block
very friendly and the village really grew on us. There is a lovely restaurant by the chuch which was the highlight of our eating out experience. We also found many family restaurants in the local area. We had previously stayed at complex's with large pools, but the pool was very adequate, clean and welcoming. You definitely need a car, but there is plenty to do within 30 minutes drive of the aparment

Jesus Pobre is a unique holiday location, ideally situated between Javea and Denia.

This pretty unspoilt village offers Spanish bars/restaurants on your doorstep. There is a wonderful bakery, perfect for early morning baguettes and croissants, two small supermarkets, a pharmacy and bank. There is also a local Thursday village market for fruit/veg meats etc.

The area has been officially classified by the world health authority as 'environmentally near perfect'; it boasts a 10 month season and is a paradise for golfers in the winter. La Sella Golf Resort & Spa is only a 5 min drive from the village, visitors are welcomed.

The whole area offers a wealth of activity, with a selection of bars/restaurants and splendid shopping facilities. The lovely welcoming sandy beach of the Arenal with its fine promenade, water sports for the active, horse riding and not forgetting the lovely old traditional town, only a short drive from Jesus Pobre, completes the ideal holiday location.

Golf: Club De Golf La Sella - 18 hole course has been designed in a way that is suitable for all levels of the game. Visitors are welcome to play and use the well appointed clubhouse. La Sella Golf Academy welcomes those who wish to learn the sport as well as the more experienced players who may wish to improve their game. This first class golf course literally just around the corner - for the active there is a wonderful walking route to the Golf course from Jesus Pobre. More recently a further 9 hole golf course has been added at La Sella.

Sport enthusiasts will be spoilt for choice with all manner of water sports - sailing (perhaps take a boat trip up the coast to Denia or further south to Calpe and Altea), fishing, scuba diving, windsurfing and again for the land lovers there is golf, tennis, horse riding, mountain climbing, cyclying, shooting and lovely walks in the beautiful countryside.
