A home away from home, perfectly charming
This was just the most perfect holiday we have had in a while. We felt at home from the start. The owner went to great pains to make sure we knew our way around the property and its amenities, sharing things to do and making us feel relaxed. The property is pretty, bright,clean,well-maintained and equipped and the wifi is reasonable. The planchette was great for (man) cooking on the patio. The pool is extremely clean and maintained and although it is shared with the owner, we always were alone. Table tennis is available with a few pool inflatables. A welcome bottle of lovely Gaillac wine, juice and flowers, with aperitifs to finish our holiday in the chateau with the owner and his wife, all contributed to our wonderful stay. The location, on a hill, has a view to die for! The property is a mixture of old stone and modernity, with all the mod cons. Although it is a little isolated (with plenty of hills around) it is about 15 minutes by car to Puy Laurens, where there are all the local small shops you need plus a couple of reasonable supermarkets. It is a perfect location for exploring the Pays de Cocagne. Our favourites were Cordes Sur Ciel, Toulouse, Castres and Albi and there are so many small villages including Lautrec, which capture the spirit of the area. Do visit the Chateau of Magrin, which houses the (small) pastel museum, a truly fascinating experience. It throws much light on this area's history and development. We enjoyed cycling on the voie vertes, our favourites being from Revel, Mazamet and Saint Sulpice. The selection of restaurants is limited, partly because of the August holidays. L'Etoile, nearby in Puy Laurens, although not much to look at, served lovely food in the evening. We would also recommend Pub St Martin in Soreze and Cafe du Lac, near Revel. We would love to revisit this area and to return to Mas Du Tour. Highly recommended.

Perfektes Idyll

Aymon Together with his wife, Anne Marie, was in constant contact with us at the start and throughout the whole process of arriving at the property, simply superior hosts. The attention to our comfort, our food details , Restaurant recommendations, sightseeing opportunities was truly outstanding. The connections that we had during our stay were so friendly and informative that it made it hard to leave. Our afternoons spent on the beautiful terrace overlooking rolling hills of sunflowers was sublime. The pool was the best we’ve ever swam in and was in a most Idyllic location and always beautifully clean.

Superb get away in the south of France
This was our first time in the south of France and thoroughly enjoyed it with our two young boys. The house has exquisite views, is well appointed and a lovely, private pool with ping pong table too. I would recommend the lake/ reservoir at St Ferrieol near Revel for water sports and fun, Saturday market at Revel, Wednesday,s food market at Puy Lauren, a trip to/ through Le Sidobre and for a greater choice of food shopping the Casino supermarket in Revel. Intermarche at Puy Laurens is sufficient. Aymon the owner is very welcoming, discrete and happy to recommend days out etc. We had a great stay ! Tout bien....

Loving the contact with others .

What makes this property unique

Bucolic, very quiet in the woods, and superb views overlooking the rolling countryside of Lauragais .Idéal touristic promenade since 'Le Mas du Tour' is in the center of the golden triangle 'Toulouse / Albi / Carcassonne' and close the Eastern Pyrenees and the Mediterranean.
