Our stylish 2,200 sq.ft. home has been decorated in beach cottage style, an eclectic mix of shabby chic and vintage pieces. It sits high on a large lot in a private road of only 6 homes close to Phillippi Creek with all its wonderful birds and wildlife. Drive or cycle to Siesta Key beaches, America's No 1 Beach in 2012, (10 minutes by car) or visit Southgate Mall, many designer names as well as all America's favourite brands. The many varied restaurants of Tamiami Trail are equally close by, many offering take out service. Or simply relax in your own tropical paradise, sparkling heated saltwater pool (less chemicals, kinder to eyes and skin), fully screened in with al fresco eating, large gas grill for the excellent local seafood, and a spacious screened lanai! (No bugs or other unwelcome visitors!)The pool is not overlooked and the whole yard is surrounded by lush tropical landscaping.

In 2012 Siesta Beach was named America's Best Beach and confirmed what we have known for years, that the fine white quartz crystal sand has healing powers and is home to many nesting birds and sea turtles. The aquamarine ocean is warm by May/June and remains so until November. A regular morning walk on this stunning beach or a sunset shared with a friend or lover is a magical experience, never to be forgotten. The public beach has full facilities and is busy and popular, we prefer the north end of the key where the beach is tranquil and you can spend hours with a book and hardly see a soul.
Bedrooms: All our bedrooms have fine linens and comfortable beds, the bathrooms are all white with tile floors and all new fittings in 2005. We have cupboards full of towels and sheets, duvets for the winter, sufficient extra bedding for 8 to sleep in comfort. The sofa bed in the family room means we can sleep 8 adults plus infants.
We have a cot and high chair.
Kitchen and dining: When we stay in the house we entertain our many local friends and family and can easily feed 12 on a regular basis, we have lots of pots and pans and crockery/cutlery! Unlike an average rental this is our family retreat and with 6 children it has to be on a large scale! You can park 5 or 6 cars on the drive and most guests agree there is little need or desire to go anywhere once you settle around the pool. Our only problem is we get too relaxed here and never make all the trips we intended!
We enjoyed our stay in Sarasota. The home completely fit our family needs. Loved having kids upstairs in their own rooms. Plenty of space for all. Well equipped and clean.
We visited for a week in November with our 3 year old son and would thoroughly recommend it to families or couples alike. The location is fantastic with Siesta Key and it's lovely beach and restaurants only 10 mins away. Shops are very close by and it is also within close range of some super local attractions including Myakka State park.
The property itself is very well kept and is like a home from home making you feel welcome as soon as you walk in the door. A couple of lazy afternoons were spent having a BBQ and lazing by the pool.
Having Analise close by is also reassuring in case there are any queries or issues, not that we had need to call on her.
We had a wonderful time and will certainly be looking to return.

We have been vacationing in Florida for many years now and stayed at many different homes in the Orlando and Gulf Coast area's and this home is right up there in every way.
This is a lovely home with a beautiful pool just 10 mins to Siesta Key and 20 mins to Armands circle (by car). The pool says Saltwater but really not salty and not chlorine strong - perfect! Location is so good for all places you need for a vacation holiday. Annalise (property manager) is very close but only when you need her - not intrusive at all (if you are from UK take her some Marmite - she likes that!). Quiet & very comfortable has all the items included that you need to make it a home from home.
We would highly recommend this home and will certainly return next time we go to the Gulf Coast of Florida.

We had a fantastic time in a beautiful house with a great pool. Owners and family wonderful. Siesta key and turtle beach amazing. Miss it and would love to return to it and a great area close to white sands!

The property was lovely and felt like a holiday home rather than a rental and was very nicely maintained. The owners daughter lived next door and was available if any issues. Were we to come back to Sarasota we would definitely stay here again. Good areas to visit St Armands Circle for nice restaurants and Siesta Key for relaxed dining and beach. Also well worth a visit to the Dali museum.
Having holidayed in the area a few times before we found this property which is close to the main routes into Sarasota and the beach to be the best we’ve stayed in yet. The house is very well appointed and together with the delightful pool; it is a wonderful relaxing place to return to after a day out sightseeing, shopping or the wonderful Siesta Key beach.
Annalise couldn’t have been more helpful when we needed her, and what’s more recommended the perfect place for brunch after an early morning walk along the shore, ‘Another broken Egg’ in Siesta Key Village.
Who couldn't love the area, it's a great place to stay with to much to see and do.
The only problem we had was that we didn’t stay long enough and we certainly hope to return.

Only 10 minutes from the fine white sands of the Gulf of Mexico and our award winning beach, http://www.cnn.com/2011/TRAVEL/05/27/best.beaches. Moments from the many fabulous restaurants of the Tamiami Trail. A 20 minute drive will take you to the boutique shopping at St. Armands Key with its fine dining and Lido beach, drive across to Longboat Key and Anna Maria Island for a true Florida Keys experience. The famous Ringling Museum and Mansion, the art galleries of Palm Avenue, the Van Wezel concert hall, orchestra and ballet, the stylish new Selby public library and the many beautiful examples of Spanish architecture dating back to the 1920's all remind us that Sarasota truly is the cultural capital of Florida. However bargain hunters and fashionistas are not forgotten with excellent shopping malls within 10 minutes drive and a huge designer discount mall at Ellenton, 30 minutes away. Wildlife enthusiasts will enjoy Jungle Gardens, or a trip to the Myakka River to see the alligators
