Photos and Description of this holiday apartment in Cagnes-sur-Mer - Le Cadet
Studio with small terrace, bathroom with shower, kitchenette, sleeps 1-2
Le Cadet is charming and comfortable - think of it as a hotel room with a kitchenette, a small dining-table, and a bathroom with a shower. This is compact living and cosy! It has been recently renovated with keeping the flavor of the old... wooden beams and stone floors. There is no AC, but fans for the summer.
Outside the room, in a little alley, there is a small terrace, big enough for a café table and two chairs. Inside, there is a sleep-sofa with a pull-out bed (sleeps 2), a wooden armchair, and a flat screen TV with a DVD and a radio/mp3 alarm clock. The kitchenette offers a two ring ceramic stove top, a microwave, a fridge, a dishwasher, and a toaster. The white tiled bathroom is equipped with a hair-dryer. A Laundromat is located in the city center.
Le Cadet is conveniently located, near the free shuttle-bus stop. Restaurants are only minutes away and this studio will fit any budget !

About Mrs Petersen
My name is Lena, and I am Swedish. In Sweden, I used to be a business journalist, writing mainly about the psychology behind it all. But like many people, I always had a dream about living in France. In 2002, my dream came through, I found Haut de Cagnes - a hidden gem. I have never regretted it! Nowadays, however, I also have a small apartment in Stockholm - that I can rent out too!
Mrs Petersen purchased this apartment in 2005
Why Mrs Petersen chose Cagnes-sur-Mer
I fell in love with this property when I saw the other part of it - La Perle, also listed on HomeAway. At the time, Le Cadet didn´t exist, but I saw the opportunity of building a nice little place in a room on the ground floor. Le Cadet is small - really compact living - but even though it is new built, it offers a lot of French charm, like wooden ceiling beams, old stone floors etc. And I like sitting out on the little 'terrace', in a little alley.
What makes this apartment unique
Le Cadet, although small, offers all modern amenities. It is equipped with wireless internet, French TV, and telephone for local calls. It is very practically located close to the stop for the little free shuttle bus, that runs up and down the hill every 15 minutes. And it is only minutes from all the restaurants of the village.
Guestbook comments from the manager
My family stayed at La Perle and Le Cadet for one week in March/April 2010. We couldn't have had a better experience. The restaurants are superb and it's like eating in someone's home. The prices are very reasonable. Our gites had all the conveniences of wi-fi, satellite TV, DVD--but who wants to stay in the apartment with all of the surrounding villages to explore. Do go to the market in Nice, amazing fresh produce and inexpensive souvenirs to take home in the market and the shops. Go down the hill every day to the market in Cagnes sur Mer for fresh baguettes, pastries, and fruit. Be sure you know how to make coffee with a french press. Don't try to drive up the hill, there's no place to park and the steep winding roads are very tricky. You can park at the bottom by the police station and take the free shuttle up and down. The bus stop is right outside the courtyard. Beautiful views from the terrace of the Mediterranean and the Alps. I didn't want to come home ever.
