About this property
Secluded Lakefront Cabin in the heart of Kennebec County
Enjoy relaxing in a classic Maine summer cabin surrounded by 18 acres of privacy. Built in 1907 and steps from pristine Echo Lake, this comfortable retreat filled with character is nestled among 100 foot pine and birch trees. A large screened in porch serves as a gathering place to eat meals while looking and listening to the loons and osprey's nesting above. A large living room with a stone fire place makes a cozy evening location to play games and commune. Other amenities include a horseshoe pit, a Bar-B-Q area, a boat house and a basketball hoop. Enjoy swimming from either a small beach area or a floating dock and our 2 canoes can be launched from one of the two docks on the property. Bring your own fishing rod!

Good

Pictures not up to date, no fireplace in bedrooms, no second dock, one canoe did not look safe, got to hear owls and loons, also encountered mice which caused us to only stay 3 out of the 7 nights

What a place! A beautiful classic Maine cottage right on the water. The place was clean and comfortable. It was very kid friendly.

About the host
Hosted by Andy Lilienthal
Since 1943, generations of our family have spent summers on Echo Lake. We treasure the serenity and beauty of the area and hope you will enjoy and appreciate the same.
Why they chose this property
We purchased this cabin to add to the existing property we own on the lake.We love the quiet, solitude and peacefulness that our end of the lake affords and with no other cabins around it is a wonderfully relaxing place.
What makes this property unique
Watch the sunsets from the dock, enjoy total privacy, and bask in the surrounding beauty by listening to the sound of the lake and loons.
