Spacious accommodation conveniently located for central London attractions

The Coach House has been refurbished to the highest standards, it has absolutely stunning, brand new interior and furnishings, it is very spacious and full of light. It has two bedrooms with en-suits (master bedroom has a large double bed, the second bedroom - 2 large single beds), very large open plan living-dining room with a sofa which sleeps 1 person, a fireplace, and a fully equipped kitchen.

The accommodation has a use of a large beautiful rear garden which has table tennis table, swings, a slide, a climbing frame and a sandpit for children.

Property has separate access and own off road parking . The The cottage is situated on the grounds of a grand Victorian Mansion, with a huge garden next to the grounds of Henry the 8th childhood home, Eltham Palace.

Sleeps up to 5-6 persons with two large double bedrooms (both en suites) and a sofa bed in the living room. Modern kitchen with ceramic hob, oven, washer/drier, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, large living/ dining room with real effect gas fire.

Oak wooden floors throughout the living rooms/hall, carpet in the bedrooms, limestone tiles in the bath/shower rooms. Lots of wardrobe space throughout. Large TV, DVD player, Wireless Internet access.

Julie Andrews first sang, "All I want is a room somewhere, far away from the cold night air, with one enormous chair, oh, wouldn't that be loverly?" and I couldn't stop humming it day after day as we headed back to this luxurious flat. We thoroughly enjoyed every warm room and every enormous chair.

My husband, two adult children and I were delighted with this "home base" as we were sightseeing in London, Stratford-upon-Avon, Stonehenge and a day trip to Paris. After the hustle and bustle of the city centre, we were thrilled to head south to a spacious flat, garden and neighborhood where we could hear church bells and birds singing.

The bus and train services were easy to understand and use. We easily fell into the routine of getting a copy of the Evening Standard and reading it on our return train each evening. We preferred the trains to and from Mottingham so we could catch either the 126 or 161 bus to ride up from or down the hill to the station. We got Brit Rail passes from Rail Europe.com but a Oyster Card with a daily cap is probably best and can be used on the tube, buses and trains out to this Zone 4 property.

The 39 steps up to the penthouse were a challenge for me but all the advantages of the situation made one trip up and one trip down each day worth every step.

Alan and Lana were so warm, welcoming and helpful. We are so thankful for all
they have done to make this experience possible for us and other travelers.

Great London Apartment

We, a family of 4, with children aged 10 and 12, had a wonderful stay in this apartment in January 2012. The apartment is easily reached by train both from the airport and Central London! Big, nicely furnitured rooms, comfortable beds, two modern bathrooms, and a fantastic roof terrace, from where you could see most of London (our son easily spotted London Eye), made this the perfect holiday! We were able to take trips to central London and relax at the same time! With the grocery store nearby, we could make our own food and eat when we wanted, and what we wanted - perfect when travelling with children! And when we didn't want to cook for ourselves, it was no problems finding restaurants and cafés in the local area.
We certainly do recommend this apartment for families, couples and friends travelling together! You must be able to climb some stairs if you want to rent the roof apartment that we stayed in. But if you're normally fit, the stairs are no problem, and the view from the terrace is really worth it!

Great Stay

I came with a couple of friends in February. The coach house is wonderful, it's very very big, and it comes with everything that one might need: from linen, to toilet paper, to dishwasher soap. There's even a telescope in the living room! Not to mention the huge tv, and the awsome bathrooms. There's also a pretty big terrace on top, on the roof, from which you can see London! It's about 10-15 minutes from the train station, there are many shops where you can buy groceries, or restaurants, (chinese, indian, pizza, McDonalds, a sort of KFC) which are open until late at night, in case you get hungry, just a few minutes away. The owners of the house are very very nice, unfortunately we had a delay with the trains and tubes, but Olga waited for us for nearly three hours past the time when we were supposed to arrive! Overall, we had a wonderful stay, and we'd love to go back sometime :)

Excellent accomadation

This is the best accomadation I have ever stayed in. I was in the apartment with my family for 4 days in october 2010. I was in the pent house and it was very beautiful and well organised. The apartment has free parking and a very big garden. The rooms are very spacious and we felt very comfortable during our stay. Public transport is very good; the bus stop is just outside the house and the train station is at 5 min walking distance. Lana and Alan (the owners) are very nice and helpful. They welcomed us very nicely.

I would definately stay in the same apartment during my next trip to London. I would recomend this appartment to evryone..

Excellent penthouse

We are a family of five with children that are 4, 5 and 7. The penthouse was beautiful and big and had a great garden with a trampoline and swings. The kids loved it! The apartment had everything you needed. We really felt at home. Allan and Lana are very warm and welcoming.
Eltham is just around 25 minutes from centre London so it was a short trip and we could visit Lonodn every day.
It has been wonderful and we just want to thank you Allan and Lana for an excellent vacation.

Lovely Rental

We enjoyed our stay at the Penthouse! There were six of us and we were quite comfortable. It was spotlessly clean and well maintained. Lana is very friendly and helpful and was quick to answer any questions. It is within walking distance to a large grocery store where we were able to purchase everything to stock the kitchen. There is a little cafe in town called Jenny's where we enjoyed the food and the service. I would certainly recommend this property!!

Two things to consider: there are 45 steps from the ground up to the penthouse and my parents, in their 70's, found it a little tiring after walking all over London but not overly so. The other thing is the angled ceilings as shown in the photo, they surprise you in a few spots. We had a couple bumped heads of the taller people in our group and thought that a different color of paint on the edges might help. :)

Beautifully located for tourists arriving from Ashfrod (30 miles), Waterloo and all airports. Eltham is an ancient royal suburb of London and the apartment if situated in a private Victorian Villa bordering the ancient Eltham Palace. The palace was the childhood home of Henry the VIII and birthplace of Elisabeth I (14th century Tudor Hall remains). It now includes a magnificent art deco house, considered the finest in England, set within the moated grounds. The palace and its beautiful gardens are open to visitors. Nearby, ancient Greenwich welcomes visitors to the Cutty Sark, Royal Observatory, Maritime Naval Museum, magnificent Royal Park, Zero Meridian, famous market.
