Splendid apartment romantic heart of Paris, shopping
Immeble in the 16th century, fully renovated, discover the charm of old Paris and life in the heart of the capital. The entertainment area will allow you to enjoy all the activities in the city while enjoying the quiet rest of this apartment located in the pedestrian area will bring. A few steps from the Seine and St Eustache church you can hear the cries of seagulls and the bells of the church and share with residents of neighborhood life to one of the terraces surrounding noimbreuses coffee. All the essential shops are nearby (less than 50m): supermarket, bakery, pharmacy, tobacco ...
The apartment itself is particularly related to its restoration in the utmost respect for its original architectural charm. Thus beams and original joists were retained, which beyond the charm and undeniable aesthetic grace ensures the wood a soft and constant temperature year round.
Good location, nothing more; Bon emplacement, sans plus.

The location of this apartment is located as mentioned in this site.
However, I was disappointed of the apartment for the following reasons:
1. Poor management. We never met the owner or anyone, so no explanation about the facilities were never provided. It was agreed that I could call on her cell, but her apartment phone was blocked, even for local calls. So we couldn't call her or anywhere in Paris to make reservation from the apartment. Instead, I emailed from the Shopping Center Les Halles to make contacts.
2. It was the first time this happened to me with VRBO but I paid extra fees to the regular rent payment. The initial payment was paid via VRBO with the reservation, but I've been asked more for the balance to cover the VRBO fees. And when I paid the balance requested via Paypal, I refunded the transfer fees cash in an envelope.
3. It was agreed that we get 2 sets of keys. We never got them, even when I emailed the owner, she was supposed to follow up, but I got no response...
4. The apartment is on a high 3rd Floor AFTER another entrance floor, for us, it looked like a 5th floor, after long walks in Paris. Not recommended to people with disabilities, no elevator!
5. There was a binder of information regarding the surrounding of the apartment , however, most were about what to visit and restaurants. It would have been nice to get supermarket where to buy food. There is a Franprix at the corner on Berger street that we discovered on our last day.
6. There was no pressure to shower because of leak in shower head.
The only good point is the location. The location is just great: within walking distance of the Louvre, Les Halles, metro/RER. Walking distance of the supermarket when you know where to find it…. But I was very disappointed by the lack of management service.
Of course, Paris is a busy city; you may expect some noise during the evening or during the night. Also, there is no air conditioning and no dryer for clothes.

Owner's Response: I m very surprised to read this message because I do not know these people.
I was in touch with an other family who received all practical information concerning my apartment ( code entrance of the building, addresses of restaurants, museum and also of the nearest bakery and groceries, and supermarket ....), They may be friends, or one under rent who did not communicate between them?
I put a second key under the entrance door mat the first day of the stay of this family as we agreed but never get it back again.
The apartment is at the 3rd floor after he entresol and there is no air conditioning ( but each room is equipped with ventilator) as written on Abritel website : It can't be a surprise.
It's equipped with free wifi access and the phone can be use by every one for the local calls : they probably didn't read the information I send to there friends.
Concerning the payment , I always inform the tenants before they rent my apartment, that extra fees may be asked if they use VRBO, or Paypal. That's why I gave my banking particulars for a free wire transfer, if they prefer.
The lack of pressure of the shower was caused by a breakdown in all the district, not only in the building, it is now repaired.
The apartment is thus in accordance with the description of the announcement and with the very numerous laudatory appreciations which are made. It seems that a lack of communication within these people is at the origin of these remarks.
Although if they come back and join me directly, I shall reserve for them the best welcome !
L'appartement est non seulement très agréable mais aussi tellement calme, qu'on ne peut imaginer être au cœur de Paris. Cet appartement chaleureux et cosy est difficile à quitter... Le quartier est plein de surprises agréables, comme de très bons restaurants des terrasses où il est bon de flâner. Bien sur Beaubourg est tout près , les quais de la seine.... Si l'on est amateur de marché et de bonne chair... La rue monteurgueil recèle des trésors !!! La situation est idéal on est au centre de Paris et on peut profiter de tous les attraits de la capitale. Je le disais que du bonheur...

Nous avons passé un séjour de rêve à Paris, grâce à cet appartement conforme en tous points à l'annonce : idéalement situé en hyper centre de Paris pour profiter aussi bien des visites ( Louvre, Beaubourg, Notre Dame, Champs Elysées...) que du shopping (BHV, Galeries Lafayette) ou des promenades à pieds; extrêmement confortable avec deux vraies chambres, une salle de bain et des WC séparés, aménagé avec beaucoup de goût et très bien équipé, très calme et propice au repos. C'est vraiment le lieu et l'appartement idéal pour profiter pleinement de son séjour à Paris. Deux petits plus : - la qualité des échanges avec la propriétaire, très agréable et qui facilite vraiment le séjour - une consigne surveillée et gratuite située à 50 mètres de l'appartement ouverte 7 jours sur 7 et qui permet de déposer ses bagages Nous n'imaginons pas revenir à Paris, ailleurs que dans cet appartement qui offre le meilleur rapport qualité-prix.que nous ayons rencontré.
Great location. Charming apartment - the worn wood on the stairs, the thick walls and all the windows. Clean and well maintained. And agin the location...We walked to the Louvre in 10 minutes. The area was quiet and there was easy access to stores and lots to explore - We highly recommend this place.
From your apartment, you can explore on foot the most beautiful sites of Paris: Notre Dame, the Ile St Louis, the Seine, the Louvre museum? Orsay, Concorde and the Champs Elysées!
You can also enjoy the proximity to the Rue de Rivoli, the largest shopping street in Paris and La Bastille, the Marais artisans and antique shops.
Down to you, the Forum area itself offers the services of more than 700 shops among the trends.
By late afternoon, a ride on boats? Flies or stop at? one of the cafes you will in all seasons? appreciate the light of dusk, the fabulous illumination of streets and monuments .The quaint restaurants: Le Chien qui Fume, Le Pied de Cochon, La Poule au Pot is at the bottom of the building.
