About this property

1-Bedroom Master Suite #219

The City of Palm Springs ID#2081

Situated on the Southwest corner of the building, the master suite is our most sought after accommodation for couples and events with it's over-sized wrap-around deck and extraordinary Mountain views, accented with the building's historic gas-powered Tiki torches overlooking Palm Canyon Dr and Via Lola.

The bedroom features a second access to the deck, and is equipped with a King size bed, TV for watching DVDs, working desk and a generous amount of closet space with hangers and a luggage rack. The bathroom has a walk-in shower, a set of lush towels for each guest, body and hair care products, and a hair dryer. Each kitchen is fully equipped for light cooking.

There is a one-time set up with the essentials such as paper towels, toilet paper and trash bags. Housekeeping is not available, and extra linens, towels and supplies are not available beyond what is already provided.

Building Amenities:
Other amenities include free WiFi in each apartment, pool towels for each guest, free off-street parking, complimentary beach cruiser rentals, mini putt-putt (clubs and balls found in the closet), common area grill in the pool area and laundry facilities, Jacuzzi, swimming pool, and elevator.

Complimentary beach-cruisers are popular for touring the gently winding streets in the Old Las Palmas neighborhood.

Common Area:
There is a stainless steel grill, Jacuzzi and large swimming pool located in the center of the building. The quiet and relaxing pool is complemented by lush palm trees, surrounded by sounds from the water fountain, and beautiful views of the Mountains. The pool stays heated to 85 degrees in the Winter and offers a refreshing break from the heat in the Summer.

Guest / Host Interaction:
While our rentals are designed for the self-catering traveler, a friendly and attentive onsite guest manager for existing reservations is available to assist with any questions, comments or concerns.

Nice location, spacious balcony
This property is pretty spacious w/ a large bedroom, decent sized living room and small kitchen. The living room and dining area furniture are not very functional, just look neat. The wrap around balcony is awesome, we sat looking at the mountains each night we were there. The furniture on the patio is the most comfortable in the place. The hustle and bustle below us w/ the restaurant and lounge did not bother us. I can see it bothering some along w/ the street noise. It's a great location and a short walk to the downtown area. I'd go w/ 5 star but, we are pretty sure lava lamp was switched out our 2nd day w /a non-working one (that tied into our code for the door not working after returning from our daytime activities) hmmm??? We had no problem getting help when we needed. I'd suggest to management to find a different floor cleaner. The tile floor was slimy (for lack of better terms). We would stay here again and I'm sure most who stay here would enjoy it. Pool and jacuzzi looked pretty inviting (we just didn't have time for it).

As advertised
We had a great stay at The Twist. The wrap around deck on our unit was large with fantastic views. Pool and spa area was very nice. Great location.

Great location
I love this place. It was perfect for my family. My two year old absolutely loved time spent at the pool! We went 2 times each day. They had awesome pool floaties and other toys which was great for our family. Walking distance to down town Palm Springs. The tiki bar below our suite was a little bothersome at night— they have this giant drum that people insisted on banging, which woke and kept us up. We would have loved it before we had our kid!! We understand that the night life definitely comes with the prime location though. Overall we will be staying here again! Wonderful place.

Why they chose this property

Similar to all the homes in the neighborhood, this building has an illustrious past. Each home has a connection to a past or present celebrity; whether it be Johnny Weissmuller, Liz Taylor, Madonna…

Via Lola started as a whiskey stash for Al Capone in its cavernous basement during Prohibition. Later, Don the Beachcomber opened his famous restaurant and the Rat Pack became permanent fixtures at the bar, lounge and pool.
