We visited Mougins for the 1st time one winter & totally fell in love with it. Bought the property within a month - never looked anywhere else. Best thing we ever did - we never tire of it. The traditional old village building with its huge thick walls keep it cool in summer & warm in winter. We renovated it using all traditional Provencal materials & furniture so that you feel embedded in the local culture even when you don't go out.
The sea views, and the peaceful, pretty corner of the village with the courtyard and little shop, but only 75 metres from the square with all the restaurants and cafes. The friendly locals. The cares of the world just drop away. the fairytale village, & all the activities on the doorstep - & most importantly of course, the sun!! 40% of all visitors are now regulars.
My wife and I have recently returned from a fabulous long weekend staying at Le Limonerie, whilst the rest of my family stayed down the road at the lovely Villa Oleander.
Le Limonerie is owned by Peter who was super to deal with and everything ran very smoothly. It is right in the heart of the village, with all Mougins` superb restaurants and galleries right on the door step. The décor is designer gorgeous, with all modern conveniences, and also bags full of old world charm. Very comfortable and wonderful views from the bedroom to inspire your day ahead.
If you are a couple looking for a romantic break in the most beautiful and well located village, then look no further!
We had an amazing, wonderful stay. Limonerie was absolutely gorgeous, extremely well equipped and every detail was done so well it totally exceeded all expectations. The decor was my wife's dream interior! Everything went smoothly and we had an amazing week, the highlight being perfume making in Grasse. Peter was a pleasure to deal with and we would definitely love to return to this stunning town.
A wonderful traditional apartment situated in a picturesque village, full of character. The apartment has magnificent views both from the lounge and bedroom, It is spotlessly clean and well maintained. The village is so pretty it's is ideal for lazy lunches, relaxing dinners or just soaking up the unspoiled atmosphere. Its just perfect you know you are in France and I cannot praise the apartment and village enough, I have just returned for the second time and already working out dates for my return!
The village of Mougins is perfect and the views are spectacular from the apartment. Pictures don't do it justice. Lots of lovely restuarants in Mougins, and a great relaxed informal bar. Along with the beautiful, typically french traditional architecture, we were struck by the fact that the village was so friendly, and very much a place to visit for French locals. Everyone we met was so friendly and humoured our pigeon french! The apartment has a special atmosphere and was very well equipped, lovely comfy bed and fabulous hot shower! We went this time for an anniversary trip and would definately come back to this apartment when we visit the area again. Highly recommended.
We had a wonderful stay and will definitely be back. We met Beatrice and the two old ladies(leaning out of their windows to chat), and of course Rosa and Philippe who looked after most of our needs. They were all delightful and helpful people. Mougins is really a special village, close to all the "fancy" places, Cannes, Nice, Villefranche, etc., yet exclusive enough to feel you are on your own. In all the places we have visited we have never seen so many well dressed and refined diners. We will recommend Limonerie to all our friends.
This apartment is so lovely- and waking up every morning to that view over Cannes is amazing. The kitchen looking out over the courtyard was so so "french" - the flowers - the local chatter. Make a point of getting up really early and walking through the village - its like time has stood still. Ah - oh to be back there now! David and Lynne
At the highest point on the hill behind Cannes, the 2 bed apartment in the centre of Mougins Village enjoys stunning views to the sea. The high position provides a refreshing breeze in the summer. Near the sea and golf courses. The apartment is about 75m from the Mougins village square full of cafes & restaurants, with the village shop and cafe at the courtyard entrance. Mougins Village is about a 25 minute drive from Nice Cote D'Azur Airport. There is safe free Parking at the edge of the village about 150 metres from the apartment.
