Amazing hilltop hideaway with commanding views of the area and vineyards; who needs Tuscany

The property is beautifully appointed, very spacious and in idyllic setting. Stefano is a perfect host, he guided us to the property, greeted us and showed us around. The accommodation is well appointed, very spacious and clean. There is plenty of room to sit and relax both inside and out. If there were many people staying you would not get in each other's way. The kitchen is well equipped and good to use. Outside is great for eating and relaxing and the views are wonderful-much better than any Tuscany can offer and great value for money! Outside there is ample parking for several cars too so ideal for more than one family or two or more couples. We took my partner's parents for their Golden Wedding anniversary, they absolutely adored the house! It is easy to get to local shops and supermarket for all you need as well as bars and restaurants. There a perfect Osteria just 5 minutes walk to the left as you leave the road to the property; Mondo Piccolo. It does have a website (www.osteriamondopiccolo.it). The food is delicious and all local and home cooked. The pasta is perfect and the steak unbelievable! It is best to call and book, it does get busy at the weekends but they are small and prefer to know how many they are preparing for (0385 79169). They are closed on Mondays. It easy to drive from here to the station to catch the train to go exploring and only an hour to drive to Milan or Genova, also Pavia is close only 40 minutes. Como is about an hour and 30 minutes but the lakes are a great day out. But to cut off from the world the house is perfect and you need go nowhere at all. Overall, Stefano has a beautiful house set in beautiful surroundings with all the comforts you could want. He is constantly adding to and improving the property and soon there will be a rooftop terrace I believe from where the views will be even more stunning! The garden is a work in progress but beautiful to to sit in and admire the views and watch the birds and rabbits and at night see the stars and watch the bats swoop over the pool to drink-as well as the space station pass over! A perfect holiday hideaway-highly recommended.

Sehr schöne Aussicht..aber

Das Ferienhaus wäre eigentlich sehr schön... aber es fehlt an der Pflege und Sauberkeit. Fliegengitter sind an allen Fenstern und Schiebetüren, aber manche sind leider defekt und werden nicht repariert. An manchen Teilen des Gründstücks hat man das Gefühl das manche Arbeiten noch nicht abgeschlossen sind. Man hatte bei allem ( auch Sauberkeit Küche ) das Gefühl das nicht richtig nach dem Haus geschaut wird.Wenn ein Hausmeister 2-3 Stunden die Woche danach schauen würde könnte daraus ein echtes Schmuckstück werden. Sorry Stefano,deshalb von uns nur 3 Sterne.

Modern kitchen, great pool

We stayed two families and the house worked really well and had space for everybody. Nice kitchen so we cooked most nights! Lovely local wine farms!

ressourcement total !

Stefano nous a accueilli dans son petit coin de paradis. Toujours disponible avant et pendant le séjour. La maison est un havre de paix avec une vue à couper le souffle. Une petite trattoria dans le village à 800 m du gîte direction Broni a comblé nos envies de cuisine italienne.. Pavie est une adorable ville à 35 min de là dynamique, estudiantine... et Milan à 1h15, excursion bien appréciée également mais nous étions toujours heureux de retrouver le gîte au calme et sa piscine rafraichissante !! Merci pour tout Stefano, c'était génial !!

Subliem

Moderne comfortabele en prachtig gelegen woning. Gelegen op de top van een heuvel, mooi zwembad en een zonovergoten terras. Ideaal om te genieten van een warme Italiaanse avond met een glaasje heerlijke wijn van de buren en met zicht op een spectaculaire zonsondergang. De eigenaar Stefano is uitermate vriendelijk en terecht trots op zijn vakantiewoning. Voeg daarbij nog de vele bezienswaardigheden in de buurt en je hebt alle ingrediënten voor een droomvakantie.
