In the heart of the old Fishermen’s quarter, this is a brand new architect-designed house (built in 2009), designed to welcome 4 to 7 people in modern comfort.

Almost 90 m2, the house is on two levels. The open plan ground floor has a large living area, fully equipped kitchen and dining area which opens through a large glass window onto the courtyard. There is also a toilet and internal door to the one-car garage. Children can safely play in the sunny enclosed courtyard, which has table and chairs for dining or relaxing in the sun.

On the first floor, there are 2 bedrooms, one equipped with a big double bed, and the other one has a bunk bed (another single bed can be added in this room). The study, overlooking the courtyard, also has a comfortable double sofa bed. All three rooms include large built-in wardrobes. Also on the first floor is the shower room, with two washbasins.

The house is nestled right in the centre of the charming little coastal town of St Gilles Croix de Vie. The marina and the fishing harbour are 200m away; so are the train station, the shopping streets and the churchyard, where a traditional open-air food market takes place twice a week. The house is in a restricted traffic area, so it’s very quiet. From there, you can easily walk to the beaches and to the pier, from which boats go to the Island of Yeu.

All house equipment and facilities are included in the rental price, except for bed linen and towels (rental fee : 10€ for a double bed, 5€ for a single bed, 5€ per person for towels). There is a fixed cleaning charge of 50€ per stay.

Wir waren mit unseren 3 Kindern im Alter von 9-15 Jahren in dieser FeWo und es war fantastisch! Die Kinder haben sich sehr wohl gefühlt und hatten auch Rückzugsmöglichkeiten, die unmittelbare Nachbarschaft läd zum Bummeln und Entdecken ein, sodass die "Kleinen" auch alleine unterwegs waren. Der Ort bietet alles, was man sich wünscht und die FeWo ist perfekt!!Es fehlt an nichts! Die Küche ist gut ausgestattet, wir haben jeden Tag frisch gekocht, sogar einen Zitronenschalenabreiber gibt es. We felt very good in your appartment and we would definitiv recomment it to everybody else!

By car, go straight to the rue Anatole France, in the restricted traffic area - there's a one-car garage in the house.

By train, it's a 4 hours journey from Paris, via Nantes. The house is only 200m from the station, you don't need to take a taxi.

By plane, arriving either in Nantes (1hr 15’ drive) or in La Rochelle (2hr drive). Both airports provide low-cost connections to Europe.

We will be delighted to try to accommodate any specific requirements you may have, from baby equipment to … storing a sailing dinghy! Please do get in touch by e-mail and ask us. When you arrive in Croix de Vie, we will take time to discuss what’s available in town and around (hiking and biking tours, golf courses, the islands of Yeu and Noirmoutier, Les Sables d'Olonne, the Puy du Fou,...), according to your own interests. We will tell you where to go to buy local food specialities, how to cook them should you want to, and where to eat delicious “crepes” and have a drink at sunset… We look forward to hearing from you !
