'HAMILTON', A STYLISH RENOVATED HOUSE IN HANSEATIC MEDIEVAL CENTRE

Photos and Description of this 2 bedroom holiday home in Bruges (Brugge) - Hamiltonhouse

living room, kitchen, large bedroom with ensuite, cosy attic bedroom,

Hamilton, a delightful, stylish house situated within easy walking distance of the market place and the historical, gastronomic and cultural highlights of Bruges is located in amongst the canals of the 15th century Hanseatic area of the city.

The recent restoration - a successful marriage of the old and the new - created a peaceful environment, recommended for a two-to-four persons luxury holiday, or for a family with up to three children. With a little bit of luck, there is a parkingplace (4 hours free with blue disc) in front of the house, but a car is not necessary to enjoy Bruges and his surroundings.

Two bikes are provided for your enjoyment, and both walking and cycling in Bruges, and the surrounding areas is easy and fun. The seaside is easily accessible by road or train, or by bike for those with a little more stamina. You have the entire house at your exclusive disposal. Further information and pictures available on our website. Address of the property ; 8000 Bruges, Krom Genthof number 9.

Included: bed-, bath- and kitchen linen, water, heating, electricity, cleaning, taxes, internet connection, child's highchair or cot two bikes and free internet connection.

Kitchen :

Equipped with electric cooker, refrigerator, microwave oven, coffee machine, boiler.

The necessary kitchen utensils for 6 persons.

BIRTHDAY SPENT IN BRUGES

  • 4 out of 5
I have to compliment the owner of the house for the warm ambience it provided for what turned out to be a very cold weekend. After visiting Bruges many times, and staying in many locations, this has to be one of the best used. The location was in a very quiet area, and so close to the main square. Nothing was left wanting as the house was so well equipped. I am sure a return will be made. The owner on visiting to ensure we were alright had useful information on places to see, and even after so many visits provided us with some new distractions. As my partner was celebrating a Birthday, this was just an ideal place. Many thanks to the owner.

EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT

  • 5 out of 5
I have to say that Hamilton House was a perfect place to stay for our trip to Bruges. Just a short walk to the centre with all it's great cafes and all there is to see there.
The house was beautifully clean and welcoming after a long drive. It is in a very peaceful area, no noise at night at all. I would highly recommend Hamilton House to everyone who wants comfort and tastefully decorated surroundings.

Raphael can be rightly very proud of his house and the service he provides.

A GREAT BASE FOR A WEEKEND IN BRUGES

  • 4 out of 5
A lovely little house only about 5 minutes walk from Markt in a quite area of Bruges.
The house was clean, comfortable and well equipped. The bathroom arrangements were slightly quirky in that those staying in the attic bedroom have to use what are, in effect, the en suite facilities of the main bedroom. Not a problem once you get used to the arrangement. We parked the car for the weekend at the railway station and used the free bus pass to travel into the centre. There are several neighbourhood restaurants nearby, our favorite was Bistro den Schilder on Jan van Eyckplein, about three minutes walk from the house.

THE ONLY PLACE TO STAY IN TOWN

  • 5 out of 5
My husband and I recently spent 7 wonderful days at Hamilton House.
Set in a perfect location for exploring Bruges, it contained every modern convenience and was spotlessly clean and very well furnished. The two bicycles were definitely an added bonus and i would most certainly recommend a stay here. Raphael the owner was a great guy, charming and most helpful.
We look forward to a return visit.

THE PERFECT PLACE TO STAY IN BRUGES

  • 5 out of 5
We cannot imagine what more a traveler could ask for in accommodations in Bruges than can be found in Hamilton House. Neat, clean, well equipped, charmingly decorated, and within a short walk of just about anywhere in the city, this was the perfect location for our week-long stay. And where else can you find a house that mirrors the history of the city yet contains all the necessary modern conveniences. We were also very pleased with how quiet -- incredibly quiet -- this little neighborhood is. No sleep interruptions here!

We would be very happy to stay here on any return visit to Bruges.

HOME FROM HOME

  • 5 out of 5
This was our first visit to Hamilton and Raphael"s response to our initial inquiry was prompt and any subsequent contact either by e-mail or telephone continued in this manner .
The house is easily reached from the train station, buses 4 ,14,and 43 (2euros p.p.)will drop you at Jan van Eyckplein, cross the road ,newsagents and souvenir shop ,continue along Woensdagmart until you reach a small square with a statue of Memling a few metres beyond you will see Hotel Bryghia turn right here and at the bottom of this street no.9 awaits you !
Inside you will find a clean ,very comfortable well equipped house ,excellent variety of crockery ,glassware ,cutlery etc.nice soft towels and a very comfortable bed .We felt that this house was much more than the usual rental property this was a home from home .The two bicycles are a real bonus ,the weather was very mixed during our visit however we still managed to cycle to Damme, around the city and along the canals .
Raphael makes every effort to make sure his guests are warm and very comfortable and indeed well fed ! he recommended a few restaurants for lunch Lieven, off the Markt at the corner of Twjnstraat.is well worth a visit .St Paulus bakery is a little gem Vlamingstrat 5 minutes walk from the house.
We are already looking forward to our next visit .
Hamilton house and Raphael"s care for his guests more than compensate for the Belguim climate .
