Family of 8 (no small children) stayed for one week over the new year 2018/2019 period. The apartment was lovely set across two floors. It was plenty big enough for us as we were out skiing all day everyday and really only used it to shower, change, sleep and cook occasionally.
The host Jean-Marc was extremely helpful, I can not fault him. Every time I messaged him I received a reply to any questions I had very quickly on booking, on the build up to our arrival and even while we were there. There was also a local contact available via text to help with any daily questions like ‘where do you put the rubbish’ (opposite the start of the staircase to the town) and what is the code to get in the apartment complex - very useful to have! It would have been helpful to know in advance of arrival that there is a free bus service that operates in the area and the ‘vert route’ takes you from the end of town (by the small pharmacie) to the apartment as it is situated at the top of a hill via (500 steps) - trust me you don’t want to lug 8 suitcases up 500 steps! The views however are amazing. The bus runs from 0820 to 2100hrs and is a God send. A very useful ski locker located right on the slopes was provided for our use but takes only 5 sets of ski equipment and there were 8 of us. This didn’t prove to be too much of an issue as there is also a ski locker under the apartment complex and once you get the hang of the bus you’re sorted. If I did the week again I’d take tea towels (as only one is provided) washing up liquid and bin liners. Bath towels and linen are provided which have to last the week. If I had one thing I would have improved it would have been the amount of hooks available. I personally would have liked to see coat hooks everywhere as there are no wardrobes in the two downstairs bedrooms and nowhere to hang your coats although plenty of draw space but we managed and overall we had a very pleasant stay and would recommend booking with Jean-Marc he’s a great host. Thank you Jean-Marc. 😃
