Villa Marina: 3 Bedrooms, Sleeps 8

We have just returned from a weeks stay at La Mancha and had to write a review because it was such a brilliant holiday. The villa is set into the hillside in a really beautiful location surrounded by olive groves and vineyards. When we arrived we were so pleased to find that the villa itself is exactly as in the pictures; in fact it’s even better. All the rooms are beautifully furnished and you have everything you need for self catering and cooking to a high standard!

The villa and its surroundings are nice enough that we spent the majority of our holiday relaxing at and around the villa. The pool is excellent, very clean and right next to the villa. We found that it made no difference to us that we had to share it because the family who were staying in the other villa were often out at different times from us and when we were both at the pool, there were plenty of sun loungers etc to go round.

Apart from staying at the villa and enjoying the sun, local wines and local food, we took a few trips to visit local places including the market in Fayence, an afternoon in Fréjus, a walk around Seillans and a day in St Tropez, which we reached by catching a boat from Sainte Maxime. all of which we would recommend. We also had two meals out, one at Auberge du Chateau in Fayence, which we wouldn’t recommend because of the very bad service. However at the other end of the spectrum we had an absolutely superb meal at Le Relais in Seillans, which would recommend you don’t miss if you stay at La Mancha.

Finally the thing that really made our holiday so brilliant was Patricia and Hendrik’s hospitality. They were always so kind and accommodating for anything we needed. They are so easy to talk to and helped us to feel completely at home. Even though they live in part of the villa we never felt they were looking over our shoulder to check what we were doing and we felt that they struck the perfect balance between getting to know us and helping us find out about the area, and leaving us to relax and enjoy our holiday. In summary we couldn’t recommend La Mancha more and think that should you choose to stay at this villa you will not be disappointed.

Magnifique propriété, au calme. Tout le charme du Sud de la France! Logements très confortables et aménagés avec beaucoup de goût dans les moindres détails. Les propriétaires sont toujours de bon conseil et extrêmement sympathiques, tout en restant très discrets. Merci à Hendrik et Patricia pour ces vacances toujours réussies!
