About this property

This is the quieter side of the Island on the North Coast. Before you make up your mind, read some of the reviews from previous guests as many have kindly mentioned what appealed to them about this part of the Island. If you have any doubts, drop us a line and we will be delighted to help with any queries you may have. Vacation time is expensive and precious so you need to make the right decision for you.

Mi Casa, Su Casa is exactly what it sounds like, a home from home. This is a one bed, one bath 1039 sq foot condo with a large master bedroom with king size bed (100% prima cotton sheets), a good sized living area, a spacious kitchen and a bathroom (bamboo towels) with a walk in rain head shower. 7th night free year round - book for 7 nights and only pay for 6. Stay 7 or more nights and receive a 14% discount on your entire stay. The discount will be reflected as a reduced nightly rate rather than a deduction. Base rate for low season is $250 per night and high season is $330 per night. If you want to stay more than 6 nights, you will see the discount in the per night night rate once you select your dates.

Constantly updated and refreshed with teak patio furniture, hardwood bedroom floor (King bed, oversized chair that converts to a twin bed to accommodate a child), silestone kitchen counter tops, unusual art work, comfy sofas (the larger one in the living area converts to a queen bed), fully stocked kitchen with everything you need to make even a thanksgiving dinner.

If cooking is not part of your vacation plans, there are restaurants on either side of the complex and a third option a mile away.

The Retreat has its own 1200 foot private white sandy beach, freshwater pool, gym and tennis court.

BBQs are available on site for your use and the beach has plenty of sun loungers and chairs. Due to it's location, we are fortunate to be able to enjoy year round sunsets from the main beach. Be sure to stay after the sun sets and enjoy the amazing colors in the sky. Spectacular doesn't even start to describe the beauty.

The ocean is just steps away. The condo has dvds, board games, playing cards and books. We also live on Island and have done for 26 years.

We take comfort very seriously and you will find every chair, cushion, bed, towel and linen purchased with that in mind.

A home away from home

We almost always stay in self catering apartments on holiday and this is by far the best appointed that we have stayed in for years. We found nothing that we needed that wasn't in the apartment and you could easily live there for an extended period given the full laundry facilities and superbly appointed kitchen, to name but a few of the amenities in the apartment itself. Whilst there is a building site next door the noise is minimal and if you are on holiday on the island you will likely not be in much during the day anyway! From the first messages with Val she was up front about this and even checked to make sure we were aware and asked if this changed our mind about the reservation which it did not. Can't fault the communications with Val at all, she has been informative and prompt in replying and provided us with a wealth of information on the island, activities and places to eat etc. On a holiday where you want to relax and unwind, having a fantastic apartment and conscientious, communicative owner is a great help. Would thoroughly recommend Mi Casa, Su Casa to anyone who wanted to be away from the bustle and over-commercialisation of Seven Mile Beach but still have a great beach, snorkelling and some bars/restaurants on your doorstep.

Lovely hosts and condo

Val and Dave are the best hosts! The condo was equipped with anything that you might need...right down to picnic basket, extra beach chairs (we used at other beaches), plenty of kitchen supplies, the list goes on! Val was very easy to reach for any questions. The condo is on the quiet side of the island, exactly what we wanted. We had the pool to ourselves every day. It was a little piece of heaven. We would go back for certain.

Home from Home!

We enjoyed our stay at Mi Casa Su Casa! Great location- walking distance to Rum Point and directly on the ocean! Condo is very well equipped! The hosts Valerie and Dave were great and very welcoming! They even gave us a ‘welcome’ basket with lots of goodies which was very thoughtful! We will definitely return!!

Beautiful Stay on Rum Point

This was one of the most relaxing vacations I've ever had. Everything was better than expected, from the booking, to the arrival, to the location. But the best part of all was Val and Dave's place on Rum Point and their hospitality. I can't wait to come back!

March stay in the caymans

My wife and I had a wonderful time at the retreat. We had great response to questions and no issues at all. Everything we needed was provided and beach was great for snorkeling and relaxing. Saw and filmed many turtles, barracuda, angel fish and many other fish types. There was a baby stingray at the beach in the shallow waters almost every day. Glad to have stayed here this year. Looking forward to our next trip to the caymans. We are divers so we drive to Georgetown area and dive from there. Next year we will dive north side.

We are the Mullen family. Val, Dave and children Kalem and Shane. Although Irish, we have lived in Grand Cayman for 25 years and now have dual citizenship. We came to Cayman on a 3 year work contract and never went home again. Both our children (aged 24 and 19) were born here and we now all call Cayman home.

Why they chose this property

After a 10 year search for the perfect beach location (we live in George Town for ease of work and the boys' schooling), we decided that there is just nowhere nicer than the Retreat. It is the perfect property in the perfect location. It's a quiet getaway but still has all the facilities you need to enjoy Island life - picture perfect beaches, delicious restaurants, sporting facilities and of course the amazing ocean.

What makes this property unique

The colours of the sea are just amazing. The year round sunsets was a major draw for us. The water is calm and shallow. The area in front of the Retreat is a marine park and is home to a lot of friendly fish.
