Other nearby activities: The surrounding area hosts numerous other sporting activities, from skiing in the Sierra Nevada mountains to dolphin watching off Gibralter, a visit to Gib is always worthwhile either for duty free goods or just to see the apes that really do run wild! Selwo Safari park (a truly great day out for ALL the family and only a 15 minute drive away) and sea-life centres, Fuengirola zoo, water and wildlife parks, and of course, the many varied beaches and their chiringuitos (beach bar/restaurants) along the coast all wait to be discovered. There are 2 aqua parks nearby within a 30 and 40 min drive.
Golf: The Costa Del Sol is renowned for being home to numerous fantastic golf courses, including San Roque, Almenara and Valderama (host to the Ryder cup and all within 10/20 mins drive). El Diamante is closely located to many courses, the nearest course of Duquesa only 2 mins away!

El Diamante is a small, exclusive, gated complex forming part of Marina de Casares. There are several beach bars/restaurants within a 2 mins stroll down the beach (open in Season). A 10 min walk and you will come to the little town of Sabinillas where there are now many bars, coffee shops and restaurants as well as local shops and supermarkets. There are 3 or 4 larger supermarkets a short drive away, most stocking many English brands. A 5 mins car ride will take you to the charming little port, ' Puerto Duquesa' full of bars, restaurants, shops & cafes. The quaint white washed villages of Casares & Benhavis are well worth a visit. 10 mins east along the coast you will find Estapona port & town, once a small fishing village. As you come into Estapona you will see the bull ring on the left & the lively port on your right. The town also has a good selection of restaurants, bars & shops in it's winding back streets & plazas & has retained it's Spanish charm. It has a wonderful promenade with fountains & large children's play areas.
