Great location in the village
A big thank you to Pepa the owner who always responded quickly and was helpful. We spent 2 weeks at the property and found plenty to do to pass the time in the area with 2 teenage children. The property is a 3 bedroom end of terrace with 2 bathrooms and a small kitchen which is suitable for its purpose.
As the house is in the town it can a bit noisy (especially the very efficient early rubbish collection service 7 days a week) if you have the windows open which often you needed to do as the property does not have airconditioning. Fans do help but could do with one more as 2 for 3 bedrooms led to interesting bargaining between the children.
There is parking in front of the house at the bottom of the stairs but it is a busy little street opposite the doctors so other than loading and unloading it is easier to leave in the free car park a 2 minute walk away.
Whist in Zahara we went canoeing and the Discovery Centre on the Reservoir also does loads of other activities. Santiago at the Playito did a wonderful horse riding trek. Note Santiago does not speak English so if you cannot speak at least Pigeon spanish get someone to book for you after that speaking horse was fine.
The Playito itself was not our cup of tea but if you are going to give it a visit avoid weekends like the plague as it is just too busy (we drove past one day) With young children though it is a safe environment. We enjoyed using the public pool in Zahara which has good grounds or if you want a pool with a view go the Grazalema public pool or pop to Hotel Tadeos in Zahara for a drink and they may let you use there infinity pool for a dip.
We had a great holiday and will remeber our time in Zahara for all the right reasons so Thank You
