This is a super apartment in a lovely complex on the beach with a pool and lovely mature gardens with palms, banana trees, and a wonderful selection of flowers tended for by a permanent gardener. There is no need to hire an expensive car because the apartment is 5-10 minutes flat walk from the coach stop from Malaga and Gibraltar, and is very close walking to all shops, restaurants and supermarkets. It is located right on the beach, and 10 to 15 mins walk along the seafront promenade from the marina at Puerto de la Duquesa in Sabanillas, a delightful seaside town very close to all the main golf courses. Sabanillas is the Costa del Sol's best-kept secret, located within easy reach of the airports of Malaga (50min) or Gibraltar (20min).

The apartment is on the fourth floor with lovely views and has lift access. The 2 bedrooms are a good size and have large built in wardrobes. The first bedroom has a double bed, the second two single beds. Both bedrooms have small balconies.

The complex, golf courses and attractions close by: The apartment is on the edge of Sabanillas town - it is a 20 second walk to the nearest small supermarket and nearest bars and restaurants. A 10min walk takes you to the nearest large supermarket and the delightful palm tree decorated centre of Sabanillas. The whole apartment complex has been built to closely resemble the old fashioned traditional Spanish Andalusian style, with pretty iron balcony railings and terracotta roofs, so there is plenty of character. There are no loud discos/clubs to keep you awake all night! You can find these just 10 minutes drive away at Estepona port, or at Puerto de la Duquesa 15 mins walk away. Sabanillas is a lower-key yet vibrant and colourful seaside resort, attracting many Spanish tourists as well as other nationalities, and there are no high-rise hotels or developments here at all. We enjoy 320 days of sunshine per year.

Attractions in the surrounding area: An approx 15 min walk along the beach promenade from the apartment (or a 3 min drive) is the beautiful and famous port and golf centre of Puerto de la Duquesa with yachts and boats of all sizes berthed in the marina, here you can relax by the port in one of the many bars or restaurants (there is also a good night-life here in the summer) and while away the hours or a short walk along the beach is the old Castillo of Duquesa and the beautiful village with its white Spanish houses, here you will find some of the most magnificent fish restaurants in Southern Spain. Sabanillas and the marina at Puerto de la Duquesa are flanked with fine sands and clean and crystalline water beaches which have been awarded with the European Blue flag status. You can drive to Ronda along the 'Ruta de la Toro' route of the bulls to where bullfighting originated. Visit the white villages in the mountains and look to the sky to see eagles and Griffen Vultures soaring above.

Other attractions:: Selwo Safari is nearby and of course no trip is complete without visiting Gibraltar and the top of the Rock to see the Monkeys and the Tunnels or just taking in Main Street and the duty free shopping. Visit nearby Puerto Banus (20 minute drive) for the exclusive shops and maybe you will rub shoulders with the stars. A relaxing atmosphere is teamed with an array of first-class facilities which makes Sabanillas a very desirable location for your relaxing beach/golfing holiday.

The Beach, the Sea, and the Mountains Too

A beautiful apartment in a pleasant, relaxed location. It was January and we enjoyed eating breakfast on the balcony and later had lunch under the warm sun on the communal roof terrace. The apartment was quiet and well-equipped for all our needs. There are lovely restaurants along the seafront, serving paella and other local delicacies. The apartment is very central with beach, restaurants and shops all just a few steps away.

We hired a car and drove out to Gaucin and Ronda and the white villages around them. The mountain scenery is fantastic and easy to reach.

Sea and Spanish Sunshhine

This is a very comfortable flat in a peaceful location. There is a big advantage in that the flats are set round a private garden, with it's own swimming pool as although the beach is only 2mins away on foot the sea is often quite rough making getting in an out difficult. The pool is staffed with a life guard so would be safe for children to swim, and the garden is well maintained with shrubs and trees, and is in keeping with the Spanish location. The balcony from the sitting/dining room looks out on this and catches the morning sun in time for breakfast.
The flat is clean and well maintained and provides all that is needed for a comfortable stay. Kitchen and bathroom facilities are more than adequate, and it is good that there are lines for drying washing on a flat roof one floor above.
The beach is sandy, beautiful and at the time of my stay not overcrowded. The little town is also very attractive with adequate shops for essentials.,There are plenty of interesting places to visit nearby.
I have recommended the flat to my daughter who is hoping to come with her husband and 2 children for a part of the Easter holiday, and I am confident that she and her family will enjoy themselves as much as I did..

A truly authentic Spanish getaway

We had a great holiday, the private pool was lovely and the apartment was superb and very comfortable with everything we needed already there.
Ideally positioned virtually on the beach and close to restaurants, supermarkets, shops and bars. We did not hire a car and it was very easy to get to the apartment from the airport at Gibraltar using the regular coaches.

Just a quick review to say that the apartment was lovely and the area is amazing. For us there was a perfect mix of being more quiet than some bigger destinations but still having plenty of night life down in Pourte Duqesa just a 15 minute stroll from the apartment. Perfect and highly recommended.

Great Holiday

We had great weather for this time off year, A very well equiped, very clean superb apartment, with little thoughtful extra's. Situated in beautifull gardens and with it's own swiming pool, made for a very relaxed Holiday. The town itself, with various restaurants and bars, catering for in-expensive food for all ages, The beautiful clean beaches only a minute away from the apartment, We made a short walk along the beach to the Marina at Puerto Duquesu, with lovely cafes and bars situated around the Marina. The local buses are inexpensive and can take you to Gibralta and Estoponia. And we visited the lovely market friday Morning again less than 10min walk. We would highly recomend this property.

Happy holiday

We flew to Malaga and caught the coach to get to this lovely resort because the coach stops a short 5 minute walk away from this nice apartment. This saved us a lot of money and we did not need a hire car at all because the apartment is right on the beach and is also on the edge of the town, 2 mins walk to shops, good range of restaurants and bars and the town itself. Lovely market on the seafront, and we liked the short easy 20 minute amble to Puerto Duquesa along the seafront promenade to see the marina and nightlife there. We liked it as it was nice and quiet around the apartment itself.

Notes:
The kitchen is very large and well equipped: oven/grill, hob, washing machine, fridge/freezer, kettle, iron/ironing board, with crockery, cutlery, glasses, pots/pans and many cooking implements - it even has a lovely view of the palm trees and flowers in the gardens below! The lounge and dining areas are large, light and comfortable. The lounge area has a large leather sofa and chairs with cable TV. Patio doors lead off the lounge on to the main terrace – where 4 people can dine al fresco comfortably with views over the palm trees and gardens of the complex below, often with the smell of jasmine and other flowers wafting up in the evening. The dining area has a circular dining table with chairs – and wonderful aerial views of the gardens below. Just outside the front door, it is a 30 second walk to the smart palm tree-lined promenade and large, wide sand beach of Sabanillas running into Puerto de la Duquesa. You can choose to swim on the beach or in the private pool of the complex.
