The setting of this apartment (top floor of the three-storey villa) is wonderful. The apartment is simply but comfortably furnished, with the added bonuses of a balcony with sea view and a small terrace-garden (table and chairs) at the back.
The beach is nearby (visible from the balcony), and the train station is also within a short walk. It's worth pointing out that the nearest supermarket is on the outskirts of Roquebrune, just before you reach Monte Carlo. If you have no car, you may find this a bit of a pain, as it's about 20 minutes on foot. However, there's a 24-hr supermarket in Monte Carlo, and it's just one stop along by train, with a good service. The railway line skirts the coast, so you can see it from the apartment, but it didn't bother us.
Be prepared to get a good workout every day, as there are many steps between the apartment and the beach/train station! We're fit, but it did occur to me that this apartment would not suit elderly or infirm holiday makers.
The owner was great about responding to messages, and her representative at Roquebrune was also friendly and helpful.
