Les Olieres is in an exceptional location, in a stunning and very unspoilt area of France. The house is surrounded on all sides by miles of wonderful scenery and is very private.

I would recommend this holiday home to anyone looking for a complete "getaway".

I would not recommend it to families that are looking for lots of nightlife.

The pool is a real gem, and being heated it was absolutely idealic.
We spent most of our days poolside, enjoying barbeques.
There is a lovely shaded area poolside under arches of Wisteria, should it be too hot!

The local supermarket is about 10 minutes drive from the property in Mayet-de-Montagne, and we found this very well stocked with fresh and frozen produce, as well as wine and beer.

The property was lovely and clean, and the beds very comfortable. We were met by Peter who showed us around the property and left his details should we need anything during our stay.

Car: recommended

Ferrieres-sur-Sichon is about 20 South-East of Vichy, the capital of Allier the most western department of the Auvergne. The region is mountainous, quite rough and unspoiled, with large forest areas and little streams. This area of France is relatively undiscovered by tourists and therefore still quiet and unspoiled.
