Unbeatable views from both the inside and the private terrace (300º view). Ideally suited for 4 people (2 bedrooms), but it accommodates 1 more using the double sofa-bed in the living room. A second bathroom is a convenient fact. Central heating and air-conditioning make it comfortable all year around. Towels and linen provided. Washing machine and iron/ironing board. Complete kitchen with all gadgets and cooking equipment. WiFi signal and Internet-connected computer. 65+ channel TV. A perfect location for an unforgettable romantic or family vacation.
This is a fantastic apartment with stunning views and in the perfect location. I would recommend staying here. The terrace was a great place to have a few drinks and watch the sunset over the Alhambra. There was a big table which was perfect for eating round and the rooms were all a really good size and very clean. We got a very friendly welcome. The apartment is near bars and restaurants and walking distance from all major attractions. What more can I say!
This is a lovely little apartment in the heart of the albaycin with numerous cafes, bars, restaurants and flamenco shows within a very small distance. It is by far the best place to stay in Granada as you can stroll around in the daytime and there are plenty of places to go at night - plus the old town and cathedral are only 10 minutes walk away. The view of the alhambra is spectacular - you can experience this from the main living area and also on the lovely private terrace, from which you get a panoramic view of the albaycin, the city and the sierra nevada as well as the alhambra. The apartment is comfortable and very well equipped - the kitchen in particular; we could not wish for anything more. The owners were extremely helpful in arranging the booking, booking taxi services to and from the airport and also in explaining about the property and giving recommendations for the local area. I would not hesitate in recommending this apartment to anyone wanting to stay in Granada; whilst I agree it is not suitable for someone with mobility problems, if you are able to manage a few steps, the reward of living in the albaycin is worth every bit of effort.
This is a cozy, clean, and well appointed apartment in a charming neighborhood with stunning views of the Alhambra. The owner, Antonio, was very friendly and helpful as was his colleague, Luce, who helped when he wasn't available. We would love to visit Granada again and we will definitely try to stay at this apartment when we do.
This is a really lovely apartment. It is well equipped and very comfortable, somewhere you can easily relax after sightseeing. The views of the Alhambra are spectacular; in fact, in the smaller bedroom you can wake up to the view. The roof terrace is an absolute suntrap and overlooks the surrounding area and the city beyond.
The house is situated within a maze of little cobbled streets and fairly steep hillside alleyways, but both of us found this fascinating and great fun - and, for us, perfectly safe. Antonio and Laura are exceptionally welcoming and helpful, providing a detailed map of all the best local minimarkets, restaurants and bars. There are several good restaurants within a short walk, and a market not too far away where you can buy fresh fruit and vegetables incredibly cheaply and delicious artisan breads, meat, fish and cheese, so it is very easy to self-cater.
We stayed in the apartment in late October and several days it was warm enough to sunbathe on the terrace for a few hours. It is only a short downhill walk to the centre of the city and there is a minibus which makes a loop through the area every few minutes and will drop you nearby, if the uphill climb is too much for you.
If you are of an adventurous spirit and reasonably able-bodied then this is an absolutely ideal apartment, great value and one of the most comfortable places i have stayed.
We loved it.
We had a truly wonderful stay in this lovely, characterful apartment in the heart of the Albaicin. Yes, it is quite a climb, but then that's the reason it has such stupendous views! We have never stayed anywhere with views that came even close. We were only sorry that we hit a cool spell of weather and so couldn't take full advantage of the roof terrace for dining, which would have been wonderful. Unless you are infirm there is no problem staying here and an added bonus is that we feel fitter than when we arrived.
There is no need to reiterate what others have said about the apartment itself but we found it to be very clean and comfortable. Antonio and Laura are really charming, on hand when needed but keeping a low profile and allowing us our privacy; just how we like it.
Antonio's communication prior to the rental was excellent and his directions to the apartment easy to follow. As we flew into Malaga and arrived by hire car we decided the cheapest option was to buy a weekly pass for the car park Severo Ochoa as we were staying for four days. The attendant at the entrance was happy to call us a taxi to take us to the Albaicin so our arrival was unproblematic.
Thankyou Antonio and Laura for a truly memorable stay. We hope to be back someday and would highly recommend the apartment.
We (two mature couples) had a wonderful four days at this Albaycin apartment. The living area is spacious; the kitchen well equipped; the whole place clean and the roof-top patio a wonderful place to dine and view the Alhambra after dark. Why not 5 stars. (1) The second bedroom is not as shown -- not only can you not push the beds together as shown, they are of different heights! Not suitable for two couples. (2) The second bathroom, while an excellent feature for two couples, is down a flight of stairs from the living area (3) Access to the building is down two fairly steep cobble-stone streets and a few sets of stairs -- so pack light!
But all said, very good value and a place worth staying -- especially for a younger family with 2 or 3 children.
Almez apartment is located in the heart of the Albayzin, 9th-century, historical quarter of Granada. Facing south it benefits from a lot of sunshine and it confronts the Alhambra, the palace of the last Moorish kingdom in Spain. Sierra Nevada sky resort at 40 min. drive. Granada’s tropical coast at 50 min. Quiet environment, traffic-restricted area. All city tourist attractions at walking distance: Alhambra, Cathedral, San Nicolas, etc.
