In the heart of the Asolo hills, in a sunny and panoramic position, Villa La Cimetta has a private swimming pool, in a dominant and enchanting position. It is exposed to the full sun, in total privacy, without being isolated. It has an olive grove that can be crossed to the bottom of the small opposite valley and offers a panoramic view of the Monte Grappa massif and, in the distance to the southwest, the iconic Rocca di Asolo.

It is the ideal place for those who love contact with nature, with its silence and sounds, suitable for a rest in the open air, a tea under the trees or an aperitif under the portico at sunset, in the quiet of beautiful and little known hills like those of Monfumo.
At La Cimetta, you can leave behind the hustle and bustle of city life and rediscover a magical dimension of everyday life, undisturbed by noise and night-time lights, where you can escape from the rhythms of everyday life.

La Cimetta has all the comforts of a cosy and well-kept home, ready to welcome guests in an intimate and familiar atmosphere without losing their habits. First of all, the eating habits, because the house has everything: the kitchen is well equipped with a set of first-rate cooking utensils and a large fireplace with a grill for cooking on the fire. Two sets of crockery and glasses guarantee the pleasure of a simple but elegant table setting, and a table on the veranda allows you to dine alfresco with a view of a natural, unspoilt panorama. The living room and the large sofa with the open fireplace are the norm in autumn evenings; the house remains available in winter but under particular conditions.

La Cimetta is for those who want to discover the most attractive part of the Veneto region, close to Venice with its magical charm, and cities such as Padua, Belluno, Vicenza and Verona, all of which can be visited within 60 to 90 minutes by car, with museums, exhibitions, restaurants and excellent shopping facilities. Asolo and its surroundings, the entire province of Treviso, defined as the Marca Gioiosa, the Garden of Venice, and the Land of Venice, according to the Veneto Region website, are the starting point for countless discoveries that will turn into unforgettable experiences. Castelfranco and Bassano, a delight for the eyes and the palate, the moving Canova Museum in Possagno, the extraordinary Palladian villa in Maser, the beautiful Feltre and many more are destinations to be planned during your stay in this country house in the hills, bearing in mind that, in addition to art, architecture and history, there are many opportunities to practise all kinds of sports, from swimming to guided walks, including cycling, tennis (the nearest facility is 900 metres away) and golf with a 27-hole course and three different courses just a few minutes drive from Monfumo.

Contact us and come and spend a wonderful holiday at La Cimetta... we are waiting for you!

Beautiful property, fabulous host.
Beautifully laid out property, has everything you need. Well equipped kitchen. All bedrooms en-suite. Plenty of outdoor seating, by the pool or in the shady loggia. Lovely area, with plenty to do nearby. (The Canova museum and the Brion Tombe especially were highlights). The owner produces her own Prosecco, so booking a tasting is a must. She was away on holiday during our stay but went above and beyond to organise a tasting for us in Venice (where we were staying the week before). She was so helpful, and really went out of her way to make us feel welcome. Had a fantastic relaxing time and would thoroughly recommend.

Perfection
This property exceeded our expectations (which were pretty high to begin with!). The home itself is lovely, with tasteful furnishings, and everything required for cooking and enjoying as if it were your own, but what we loved most were the grounds themselves, which are not only beautiful, but beautifully maintained. To enter the estate, automatic gates swing open and as you drive up a short shaded lane, you feel you've entered a different world. Afternoons by the pool we tried several of the Cima Del Pomer proceccos--the extra dry, dry, and Brut. All were wonderful, though my wife favored the Brut and the extra dry ranked first in my rankings. Made me yearn for Indian food, which would've been the perfect complement to all three of these wines. My wife was doing research about Robert and Elizabeth Barrett Browning, who spent extended time in nearby Asolo, which turned out to be a nicely preserved little hill town with excellent food, friendly locals and lots of walking paths. We hiked up to the Venetian-built fortress and were rewarded with spectacular views. Finally, it was especially fun meeting Alessandra and her charming husband and daughter. We dropped by the winery and enjoyed sitting in the kitchen chatting with Alessandra about kids, dogs and Italian politics, which was the perfect way to end a perfect stay.

"The property was larger ...
"The property was larger than expected with a large garden. It was in a very quiet neighbourhood and we all enjoyed the tranquility. It was clean and well equipped. The pool was wonderful. It was a short drive from Venice Treviso airport and central for Venice and for the Dolomites to the North. The beautiful town of Asolo was 5 minutes drive away and the restaurants we went to nearby were excellent. All in all a great holiday."

About the host

Host profile image
I have the luck of living in one of the most beautiful places in Italy, famous for Prosecco and conveniently located between Venice and the Dolomites.
I love sharing my passion for the area, a take great pleasure in seeing my guests also fall in love with the magic of the Asolo hills.
Other than hosting on Homeaway, I run a company that produces high quality local prosecco and extra virgin olive oil from the groves at the foot of Cima del Pomer.
I look forward to sharing the magic.

Why they chose this property

Villa del Pomer was the family home in the countryside. Our family grew up here surrounded by nature allowing the kids to enjoy the outdoor life while as parents we could relax safe in the knowledge all was well.
After the family had grown up we thought we could share some of that happiness by letting the place to holiday makers so they could taste the Venetian countryside and experience the magic of the Asolo hills.
We still visit our home and it brings back happy times. I am sure that when you leave you’ll have great memories to take back with you.

What makes this property unique

Local restaurants can provide a taste of the real Veneto, and culture can be further savoured in the nearby picturesque hilltop town of Asolo. A twenty minute drive away is the historic town of Bassano, rich in architecture, atmosphere and great for shopping! Valdobbiadene, the home of Prosecco, is also close by and the magic of Venice itself is only an hour away.
