Very spacious (80 sq meters), with well-proportioned, high ceiling rooms and all facilities. Consisting of an office (should you really need to work!), living/dining room (with an extendable dining table that comfortably seats six), generously equipped kitchen, bathroom with shower, dressing room and two bedrooms. The master bedroom has a king sized bed and opens onto a sun filled balcony with views over one of the old town’s character filled streets. The second bedroom, up an interesting set of stairs (mind your head if very tall) consists of two single beds and a very comfortable single futon. So the accommodation is able to holiday five people with immense ease. It has its own private entrance off one of the prettiest streets in the old town. Indeed, we think that it would be very difficult to find another property that gives such a total immersion into the real Villefranche whilst offering a similar level of convenience.

The apartment as a base is one thing, but what of Villefranche and what else/where else is there?

Villefranche itself is wonderful. Ten minutes from the exciting city of Nice but in so many ways, another world. The Medieval old town, the beautiful sandy beach, the port, the historic Citadel, the Jean Cocteau decorated San Pierre chapel, the incredible walks and the relaxed pace of life all combine to offer a real holiday experience.

You want more? Take the train as it continues down the coast on one of the most scenic routes you can travel, through Eze, Monte Carlo, Menton and on down into Italy and the lovely market town of Ventimiglia. Or go the other way and explore Cannes, Antibes and St Tropez. Determined to hire a car? Then Grasse and all of Provence await. Golf? try Monaco or Cannes area and again be captivated by the views and the quality.

Wonderful apartment for family holiday

This is a wonderful apartment in a perfect location in the middle of the old town, and a 2 minute walk from the water. It is spotlessly clean and very well appointed. I would certainly stay here again. The hosts were extremely helpful and the local guide was exceptional. Very good value for money.

A summer paradise!

Year after year we return to Villefranche, and to this apartment. A home away from home for the four of us. A perfect location for our holiday. The beach just a few steps away and Villefranche Tennis close by. Nice walking trips. Kozy restaurants. Everything we need for everyone of us. The apartment is well-maintained and everything is just as nice as the photos shows. The location in the middle of the old town is perfect! Villefranche is one of the most charming of all the little villages in this area of Southern France. We deeply recommend it and we are more than happy to stay in this apartment! We are sure to come back - again and again!

Living in the Centre

This spacious apartment in the heart of Villefranche was our home for 3 weeks in late February and early March. The owners have done a marvelous job of making it efficient, cozy and homey with a touch of the exotic so we felt we were definitely away from Canada.  The white colour scheme with red and orange accents is so refreshing, particularly at this time of the year and a variety of cheerful and colorful artwork kept us entertained! Freshly renovated with a very comfortable queen bed in the master bedroom; bathroom with shower, hairdryer, all linens; skylights and clothes washing machine, all the comforts of home are provided. Television, WiFi and even a small library is included!

The modern well equipped kitchen was super for making meals for those times when we refrained from visiting the superb restaurants that were just steps away from this wonderful central location. L’Aparte, Les Garcons, Le Serre and Cosmos were within a few minutes of our front door and served fresh, consistently good meals. Small markets, a local butcher, wonderful pastry shops, bars and cafes are short walks from the apartment. The train station is a 5 minute walk, as is the bus to Menton or Nice and beyond.

Larger supermarkets are located on the main routes and easily reached on foot or by bus. On Saturdays the local fresh produce, flower, condiments and meat market convenes in the park and the same location hosts a ‘brocante’ market on Sundays specializing in art, antiques, fine linens and silverware. The Tourist Bureau is steps from the park near a pharmacy, money machines, and more good eateries such as Restaurant Raffaello.

The apartment was quiet for sleeping being located in the oldest section of Villefranche where cars are prohibited and cobblestone streets are narrow. You start to realize that people have been enjoying this street and these buildings for hundreds of years and it does not take long to get caught up in the charm of this place. Villefranche is still a working fishing village and this we saw daily in our frequent strolls to the bay. This was our second trip to Villefranche and we hope to return to the town and this apartment soon. We would not hesitate to recommend this accommodation to our friends.

equipped for your comfort in great location

The apartment is very well located within easy walking distance to all amenities for travel, dining, shopping and the beach.
It is comfortably furnished very clean and well maintained with a well equipped kitchen if you want to cook in rather than eating out.
There is a wi-fi connection which was really convenient for e.mail communications and googling places to visit, bus times etc. and also satellite TV, DVD player and a music centre.
Villefranche is a wonderful place to visit and the apartment was a great as a base to enjoy what it has to offer placed as it is in the centre of the old town.
Would be delighted to recommend the property which is a credit to the owners and the service they provide.

Enjoyable Stay

This place was beautiful and spacious.The kitchen had everything you needed to make meals. The loft was perfect for our children. Because it is not "full height" it wouldn't be great for adults. It was very convenient located to the beach, to the train, to shopping and restaurants. It was also well suited for daytrips to Nice, Monaco and other nearby towns.

lovely place

This is a wonderful place. The locals were incredibly friendly and the apartment lovely. Perfect for seeing the local area as the apartment is walking distance to the train station and the fantastic beach. Wouldn't recommend it to families with young children as the stairs and cobbled streets were a nightmare with the pram. Also parking wasn't ideal but we managed. We went late September which was ideal for us, not too many tourists and not too hot, perfect weather for relaxing.

Located on one of the prettiest bays on the Riviera, Villefranche is excellently situated on the sea, has myriad beautiful walks, a tremendous sense of living history and yet is only 10 minutes travel from Nice and all of its charms. The ‘old town’ is one of the gems of the South of France and this apartment really lets you live the experience. 100 metres from the bay, a short walk from the restaurants, shops, bars and railway station; yet in a world of tranquility with it's own ground floor entrance off the beautiful sun dappled lane that is Rue Baron de Bres.
