Photos and Description of this 3 bedroom holiday villa in New Golden Mile - IfIeld House
3 Bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, sleeps 7
This beautiful west facing contemporary style villa is situated in a peaceful area close to the traditional Spanish town and port of Estepona. The villa is on 2 levels and has 3 large double bedrooms, all with brand new en-suite bathrooms. The villa has stunning views to both the sea and mountains and is surrounded by mature cork oak trees. The main living area is open plan, with a pitched ceiling and large picture windows on all sides. There are 4 terraces. One for outdoor dining, one for drinks and relaxing. The other 2 are off the bedrooms affording extra privacy. One of the main features of the house is a large infinity swimming pool in the treetops which cascades over to the valley below.
Holidaying at this villa will offer you a feeling of complete tranquility. For the active, very nearby is is tennis club and horse-riding equestrian centre and a choice of over a dozen golf courses within a 15 minute drive.
The villa is located 3kms from the popular Laguna Village and Puro Beach, a trendy polynesian style complex with shops and restaurants. Puro Beach itself is an all white beach club and pool where you can hire large bed-style sunloungers- ideal to laze on in the sun whilst you sip cocktails brought to you by a friendly waiter.
The area is also excellent for children. There's a lovely cove style beach in Estepona (Cristo Beach) which is shallow and sandy. There are 2 'chiringuitos' -spanish beach clubs here with a small childrens play area and showers.
Estepona itself is very much a traditional Spanish fishing Town. It has a long stretch of sandy beach with a promenade reaching the entire length. The Spanish people like to 'promenade' in their Sunday Best. The town has plenty of shops, and tapas bars and a lovely town square with orange trees and pavements cafes'. Although there is a population of Nothern European 'Ex-Pats' living here, they are in the minority and the town has retained it's charm and Spanish heritage.
Nearby there is Selwo Safari Park which is a must for children. Locally there are many varied restaurants. The closest Hipermarket is a 7 minute drive away stocking everything from fresh fish, wine, BBQ gear, clothes, sunglasses etc. There is a Sunday market at the local Marina and a large market on Wednesdays in the town.
For the explorer and culture vulture 'Ifield House' is ideally situated to get anywhere with ease. Malaga Airport is only a 40 minute drive, Gibraltar airport is also the same distance. The historic town's of Ronda and Malaga (Picasso Museum is a must see) are less than an hour away. Seville is 2 hours drive and Madrid 5 hours. The Atlantic coast with its wide surf beaches is an hour and a half away. Portugal is 4 hours, Gibraltar is only half an hour and for the adventurous amongst you, Africa is only 30 mins on the new fast ferry to Morocco.
The famous Puerto Banus is approximately 20 minutes drive and a must do event during your holiday. In the day time you can sit and people watch as the Ferraris and Lamborghinis drive past. At night it comes alive and you can party all night and onto the next day if you so wish.
On arrival from your chosen airport of Malaga or Gibraltar, our Local manager will greet you at Laguna Village, take you up to the house and show you around. He lives nearby and has lived in the area for many years so is a comforting person to have for advice.
We also provide a concise information book on local restaurants, shops, places to visit and emergency numbers.

About Grant and Joanne Parker
Grant and Joanne Parker moved to Spain in 2002, after living in Lodnon then embarking on a round the workd trip. We deisigned and built Ifield house ourselves and chose every, tap, tile and toilet! Both our boys were born in Spain, but we decided to move back to UK when they were about school. Grant's job also took him back to London, where he commutes to from Somerset.
Grant and Joanne Parker purchased this villa in 2003
Why Grant and Joanne Parker chose New Golden Mile
What can we say? We love this house and it was a real emotional wrench to leave it. We get back as often as we can. It is a real home and not a typical old fashioned style of villa rental. We left all our furniture there, and it has a contemporary feel with wooden floors and glass bricks. The main asset is the large infinity pool, which cascades over the valley. We chose green tiles to harmonise with the surrounding trees (the area is called Forest Hills)
What makes this villa unique
The fantastic pool, views and the fact it's only 5 minutues to the beach and town, yet it feels in the middle of nowhere.
Guestbook comments from the owner
Wow- what an amazing holiday. We felt like were staying in an MTV cribs celebritry villa. It was so private here- we loved the fact that the pool is so secluded and we could splash about without upsetting the neighbours! Puro Beach was cool too. It was well worth hiring one of the big white sunbeds for the day. I can see some severe holiday blues coming.
