Not what we expected after reading the reviews this villa got

Disappointed with this property. We booked this villa because of the good reviews it had on VRBO. The Villa needs updating. It smelled damp inside. It seemed very dark inside the Villa. The pools filtering system didn't work the pool never looked clean and inviting. The pool area we had to brush everyday and clean the leaves out of the pool. On a windy day the leaves were everywhere. The Villa was close to the supermarket, a bakery and a McDonald's. It was a good 20 minute walk to the train station and beach which was difficult in the heat. We used a lot of taxis to get about. We were disappointed overall with the Villa itself. We would not recommend to stay in this property.

Very nice house and lovely owners

We visited this property with the whole family and had a very good time. Reception from the owners couldn't have been better. Chantal and Gilbert were really lovely people to meet.

Another fabulous two weeks

This was our second year in a row at Gilbert and Chantal's lovely property. We cannot fault it as the owners are charming and are fully available for any query. Their son comes to clean the pool and check on us regularly. The house has everything one needs and made even more attractive by close proximity to shops and facilities. We will return!

Fantastic Villa and vacation

We were a family of 6 adults and had the pleasure of staying at this gorgeous property for 14 days in August. I have included some comments which were made by another visitor as our feelings were the same. We received a very warm welcome from Gilbert and Chantel who were so pleasant and very patient with us as our French was not that great but we managed. They had provided us with a cooked meal and some refreshments in the fridge, which we were grateful for. We had beautiful sunny, hot weather and spent most of our time outside. The pool area is spacious with 8 sun loungers and it gets sunshine all day. It was a very welcome site when we would arrive back from visiting several other places on the French Riviera as it was so refreshing. The large outside terrace with barbeque, large table area to seat 8, 2 sun loungers and a soft seating area was fantastic. The Villa was more impressive in person than the pictures of the website. It had a beautiful living area with dining table. The kitchen was great and very well equipped - induction hob, oven, microwave, american fridge freezer, coffee machine, steamer .... the list is endless and the owners have thought of everything. With a vast collection of glassware and crockery and serving plates we really didn`t want for anything. The BBQ (charcoal) was excellent and we used that for all of our cooking. There was had a bedroom and bathroom downstairs with the 3 others upstairs and this suited our party perfectly. There is a well equipped supermarket and pharmacy 2mins away. With a great Boulangerie, fruit and vegetable shop and the new Polygone Riviera shopping centre around the corner. The train station is 15/20mins walk but there is a bus stop 5mins away. The transportation system is very punctual and the only tip I would give is if you are waiting for the bus you have to put your hand up to let the driver know you want it to stop and pick you up. We come from a place that if there are people at a stop the bus stops to see if anyone is using that route. The Airport was 10/15mins in a taxi and the beach 30mins walk or you can avail of the bus. We were thoroughly pleased with our stay, as it exceeded our expectations. Merci beaucoup Herbert and Chantel
