About Patrick Conway

I live in Belfast, and the house is managed by Anne who lives in Glynsk, Connemara. Although I lived in Ireland for most of my life, I discovered South Connemara approximately fifteen years ago and was immediately struck by its outstanding beauty and the friendliness of the people. It has so much to offer - culture, mountains, sea, beaches, walks, wildlife, and atmosphere.

Patrick Conway purchased this house in 2004

Why Patrick Conway chose Connemara

This area of Ireland has an intensity that can only be experienced through staying here. Anybody who has stayed - friends relatives, etc. have remarked how peaceful it is and all have felt rejuvenated as a result of their stay.

What makes this house unique

The views are entrancing and ever-changing.

"We had a very nice stay in Glynsk cottage. The owner was very helpful and friendly responding to our questions (does not live at Glynsk)before we were arriving to the house.
The house was exactly like the pictures, very amazing surroundings, comfortable and well furnished.
The only surprising thing for the aera, was the lack of bins in order to recycle the rubish in this very "green" environment of Conemara.
Clarification needed with "heating" conditions during winter time.
I would definitely recommand this house!

From the Galway - Clifden road (N59), head south from Recess towards Cashel and Carna on the R340. Once you reach the Glynsk House Bar, Restaurant, and Craft Shop, turn right and Glynsk Pier Cottage is approximately one mile down this road on your left.

The property is located on the coast and has stunning sea and mountain views.

The cottage contains maps and walking routes. There are many stunning sandy beaches nearby - nearest is three kilometres away (Moyrus) all the beaches can be identified on detailed walking maps. Dogs Bay Beach outside Roundstone is an absolutely gorgeous coral beach. O'Dowds Pub (Roundstone) and E.J. Kings in Clifden are worth a visit.
