Hello and thank you for taking the time to look at my listing! I am a career military officer originally from Austin, Texas finishing my last few years of military service in the DC area. I hope you enjoy your time visiting our nation's capital, and if there is anything I can do to assist, please let me know!

Historic Capitol Hill is truly a downtown suburb that offers all the excitement of the city yet retains a safe and small neighborhood feel. The residents here are a tight-knit group comprised mostly of families who possess a strong sense of community. Nestled within the long rows of neighborhood homes you will find pockets of excitement ranging from a multitude of eating establishments to DC's only remaining original public produce market, known as Eastern Market. And of course it's extremely close proximity to the Capitol and various Smithsonian museums puts you literally at the doorstep of our nation's history. It is an absolutely wonderful location for both residents and visitors alike!
No expense was spared in the complete refurbishment of this house. You will be staying in a historic home complete with modern amenities--1880's on the outside and 2010's on the inside! Location-wise everything you need (restaurants, groceries, shopping, Metro) and everything you want to see (Capitol, Library of Congress, National Mall, Eastern Market, Barracks Row, Smithsonian museums) are just a few blocks away and within easy walking distance. Live amongst the locals and truly feel at home during your visit!
The apartment is lovely. It is well maintained, well furnished and the kitchen is well stocked with utensils and equipment. We were able to access the property without any problem, it's an easy walk to the metro and the National Mall is not much further.
We would recommend the property and would happily stay there again.
After a long ride from south Florida with 6 people, this was the perfect home away from home. The location is very convenient to the National Mall. DC has great people stationed all around Capital Hill that are more than helpful if you should need directions or suggestions. We quickly learned why it was called Capital HILL during our return trip, it's a hike uphill so bring your good shoes!
We felt perfectly safe in the area. Parking was a bit of a job and tried not to need the car as to not lose our spot. The home is convenient to bus stops and the metro so a car is not really needed.
I do wish there was a real grocery store closer because we regretted our trip to Costco quickly. The townhouse has mostly everything needed for cooking. We needed a much larger coffee pot the one supplied was only a 5 cup pot but we just made a second pot. The washer and dryer was a great bonus but I would suggest more hangers for the closets and maybe shelves or a dresser for clothes. Especially in the small room.
This place does have lots of steps but it is well worth the location and view. We will definitely come back and recommend this location. I'm super excited for the next trip to DC!
The apartment has a great location in Capitol Hill. It is close to the metro if you do not have a car. We had a car and we're always able to park with in a couple of blocks of the house. The apartment has everything you might need for an extended stay. We will absolutely stay here again!
My wife and our two nieces recently stayed here and were extremely satisfied with our experience and the value of the unit. The house and the unit are beautiful, well-kept, and well-cleaned. Best of all, is the extremely central location to the Mall. It's a five-minute stroll to the Library of Congress and the Capitol Building! Access was very easy and communication with the property manager was excellent. Also, the unit includes access to a parking pass for the neighborhood which made parking extremely easy. I will definitely book this unit again for my next stay in Washington!
Our entire family was thrilled with this selection. The property was beautifully decorated, quiet, safe, easy to access, etc. The owner was very helpful and responsive. Honestly, the entire family enjoyed everything about this unit and I would go out of my way to rent from this owner. You will not be disappointed with this selection!
This is a beautiful property, nicely designed with 2 bedrooms (one a good size, the other a bit tight), a full kitchen opening into a comfortable living room and dining area. There is also a lovely deck off the living room which must be a wonderful extension of the living room in warmer weather. The property is across the street from a quiet square, very close to Eastern Market, a short walk to the Mall, and in a very safe feeling neighborhood. We'll stay again!
