Wonderful views from a modern cabin
We have to agree that no picture can do justice to the wonderful views of the Shenandoah River and surrounding forests and mountains from the large wrap around porch and the master bedroom! Evenings and mornings were spent enjoying these mesmerizing view, listening to the weir, spotting kayakers and birds whilst spending our days hiking nearby and visiting the most picturesque town of Front Royal. We cooked most of our meals in the well equipped kitchen and saw beautiful white tailed deer every day on the pathway to the cabin. We did not want to leave! Will definitely be back!

Long weekend in Shenandoah Valley
My wife and i were looking for a secluded getaway cabin from which we could do some hikes in Shenandoah Valley National Park. Also enjoyed the convenient access to Front Royal for supplies and dining.

Secluded getaway
I like these cabins because they are somewhat older and true log cabins, pretty secluded I like that there are only three cabins on the property spaced out pretty well. You’re sitting up high on a bluff or a hill right over the river the views cannot be beat. my only complaint, a small one would be that there were some mouse droppings in where the pots and pans were otherwise nothing to complain about

Perfect Getaway
My wife and I loved the property. Close enough to the town for a dinner or drink out yet far enough away to disconnect and unwind by a fire while in the cabin. The views were spectacular and the place was clean. We loved the master bedroom and bathroom that look to be an addition. They provide all necessities you would need including plenty of fire wood. Would highly recommend and we will stay here again next year!

Our cabin was built by my great uncle back in 1934, which we renovated back in 2009. We have been able to share this special place with 100's of guests over the past years

Why they chose this property

Location, location, Location- Our cabin is the perfect home base for all your outdoor activities and adventures in the Shenandoah Valley. Our log cabin is secluded and built on a 100 foot cliff above the Shenandoah River with 35 acres of privacy. The Shenandoah River State Park and the Skyline Drive northern entrance are both only a ten minutes drive. The newly built Canopy Tours zip line was just open in the summer of 2014 which takes over 3 hour to complete. If you’re more interested in water activities; swimming, fishing or boating is all just a walk or 10 minute ride. There are three boating companies in the area which offer numerous options for floating down the river. Did someone say wine tasting? There are over 30 wineries within 30 minutes of our cabin with new ones opening every year. We hope you will choose our home base for a memorable getaway.
