Quart Café is a neighbourhood of the municipality of Vert Pré. Situated in the North Atlantic region, not far from Le Robert and Trinité municipalities, in the center of Martinique, and a few kilometers from the only expressway leading either towards the south or the north of the island. A strategic location, two steps from the best of Martinique. Fine sandy beach, calm and relaxing, in the village of Trinité or nautical activities such as windsurf or waterskiing in the municipalitiy of Tartane, an authentic fishing village which managed to preserve its charm. In the immediate vicinity, you can visit the Galion treatment plant, the last sugar refinery of Martinique, which belonged to the Dubuc family. In the Prequ'île de la Caravelle you can enjoy a walk through two marked out trails. They let discover a large proportion of the Presqu'île.
Those trails provide exceptional views, the crossing of deciduous forests and savannah, the discovery of jagged coastal cliffs or of mangroves.
That great diversity and its richness as regards ornithology made the Presqu'île the must of discovering paths in Martinique. During this excursion, don't miss out the majestic ruins of the castel of the Dubucs ! Surfing enthusiast, you will find out an internationally renowned surfing spot; the spot of Anse Bonneville. The municipality of Trinité provides 6 large beaches. The path of the caravelle, situated in the natural reserve, is one of the most beautiful. Divided in two paths, the small (1 hour and an half) and the large (3 hours and an half) , it sinks into the vegetation and have some beautiful surprises for you.
Panoramic views on all the Presqu'île. Crossing of mangroves (without any danger), nice encounters with the little local fauna (birds, mongooses and crabs 'It's my fault'). The change of scene is worth it !
Two beaches welcome the walkers. the beach of l'Anse du bout, and la Baie du Trésor. The latter will draw your attention because it is quiet, well protected from swell, and provides undergrowth, ideal for a picnic or a nap.
