Well appointed 3 bedroom home with huge loft, sleeps 10-12, huge master suite with king size bed, private bath and jacuzzi tub. 2 main floor bedrooms, one with a queen bed and 2nd bedroom for the kids, with a neat bunk-bed. Full bath serves main floor guests. Great kitchen, and large island to congregate. Upstairs there is a large loft with 2 queen beds, game table and wet bar. Bring everyone together for a lively board game around the super-sized leather game table. Enjoy a great fireplace in the living room with a big screen TV. The back deck is secluded with perpetual views of the mountains. Gas grill is on deck or feel free to do smore's on a fire-pit in the back yard. This home has it all!

Enjoyed the entire experience. We've been coming to ski at Targhee off and on since 1988. This is the first time we rented a house. Everything was as advertised and it was a most pleasant experience.

The email said there would be a check off list at the cabin of things we needed to do before leaving cabin. We could find no check list and I didn't have the rental agreement with me so we weren't sure what to do with the laundry etc... We found "objects" around the house obviously left by previous occupants including half eaten food. Over all the place was clean and the linen appeared to be fresh. We had a great time!

Overall, the house was super clean and comfortable. We stayed for a ski weekend and the access to Targhee was incredibly convenient. The kitchen was well stocked that made it easy to prepare meals, however, I'd recommend bringing your own kitchen knives, if you plan on cooking. The knives were dull, and the handles fell off. Other than that, we had a fantastic stay.

This is a great location for a winter ski vacation, with a very quick drive both to Grand Targhee and Jackson Hole. The house is comfortable for a good number of guests, with plenty of room for all of your gear. Only a few complaints: First, the garage door opener did not work, so we had to send someone out in the rain (yeah, rain during our February ski trip) to go through the house to open the garage. Second, operation of the fire place (which is what is used for heating the house) was a bit unclear. The instructions told us to use the thermostat, which appeared to not be wired into the fireplace at all. Last (and most annoying) was the advertised fire pit in the back yard. We hauled a load of fire wood all the way up from Utah to this house, and we could not find a fire pit. We poked around in the backyard, viewed pictures online, and even emailed the property manager. Their response was along the lines of "it is somewhere in the backyard, probably buried". We feel like if it is an advertised feature of the house, it should be available for use (read: shoveled out in the winter).

Owner's Response: Thanks for a great review! We replaced the battery in the garage door remote and its good to go. The thermostat is wireless, and definitely works as well. We checked it again this morning. As for the fire-pit issue, we are somewhat puzzled. The fire-pit is a great feature on this property, but certainly subject to weather. Its currently buried under snow and ice in the backyard during winter months. This area receives around 500+inches of snowfall per year. Logistically impossible to keep a fire-pit dug out during the winter months, especially with that amount of snow fall in this area. Glad you enjoy the property otherwise!

We had a great time at this house. It's located in a cute little neighborhood. I woke up in the morning for my morning jog through the area as well as on the main road, and it was awesome. The drive to the ski resort was beautiful, I wish we would have brought our mountain bikes to take advantage of the mountain biking at the resort. Jackson hole is about a 40-45 minute drive away.

The loft in the house does get really warm, unfortunately the air doesn't circulate well. I would suggest bringing a fan in the summer months (at least until one was left there to use). Other than that, it fit our needs perfectly. We had 11 people without any space issues.
