Situated on a hill, high above the busy market town of Casabermeja, this outstanding property, converted from an 18th century wine press, has 360 degree views across stunning country and mountain scenery.

Lagar los Pilones is part of a privately owned farm of 200 hectares, approached by a steep, well maintained, 2 km track which winds through woodland of olive, Mediterranean oak,almonds and figs, and is full blossom in the spring. Within the farm´s grounds are some ancient open caves containing painting said to date back some 6,000 years.

Ideally situated for easy access to the historic cities of Granada, Ronda, Antequera, Córdoba and Sevilla, one should also make time to visit the fascinating EL Torcal Natural Park with its intriguing rock formations. Málaga and the coast are within a half a hour´s drive too.

Maintaining much of the original character, although renovated to an extremely high standard (including full central heating).

There are two properties. The large poperty, for six persons, with three bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, has high beamed ceilings, a huge picture window looking out onto the surrounding countryside, and a raised area where enormous wine vats, flood-lit from within, have been sunk into the floor and cleverly incorporated into the décor. The large open-plan living/dining area has an open fireplace and comfortable seating, and the rustic style kitchen is extremelywell equipped. "Since we are back in the chilly and rainy Netherlands, your beautiful house on the hilltop in Casabermeja has been on our minds and in our hearts. The cosy interior, the amazing scenery and the attention you paid to the little details, for example the flowers which were there to welcome us, are very much appreciated. It almost felt like home. And then there was the
environment: the millions of olive trees producing delicious oil (especially the Priego kind), the rolling mountain sites with the bleating sheeps and goats and of course the inspiring cities of Granáda, Sevilla, Córdoba and Cadiz. Los Pinolos was the perfect starting point for some great trips in Andalucia and a quit place to go home to.
While watching the yellow, green and grey vegetation around the house, we were imagining: how would the landscape look like in spring, with all the flowers and the lush green young plants. How idyllic it must be…This might be a reason to return to Andalucia one day. Thank you for your sharing your family house with us."

Hemos pasado una semana maravillosa. La casa es aun más bonita que en la fotos. La propietaria hace todo lo posible para que estés cómodo. Pocas veces hemos estado en una casa tan bien arreglada, con todos los detalles, muy limpia, confortable, con juguetes para los niños (ibamos con tres niños, de 5 años, 2 años y 2 meses).

Buenos colchones, ropa de cama confortable, toallas esponjosas, todos los electrodomésticos necesarios, ¿qué mas se puede pedir?

Repetiremos con toda seguridad. La casa está aislada, en lo alto de un monte, en un paraje muy bonito. Se recorren dos km de camino de tierra y se llega a este remanso de tranquilidad. Málaga está a menos de 30' en coche.

will be waiting for you at the petrol pump of Casabermeja. From here take the highway

direction Colmenar then it is still 5 km. to the house. The last 2 kilometres are
