Photos and Description of this 3 bedroom holiday home in Miller Beach
3 Bedrooms, 2.5 Bathrooms, 8 Sleeps
VERY SPECIAL home, but NOT FOR EVERYONE.
Almost 3 acres surrounded by oak forest.
An unusual private getaway. Only accessible by hiking up 75-foot rustic old driveway.
The house is a hidden hideaway at the end of a cul-du-sac. Yet it is a-few-block walking distance to restaurants, local-favorite coffee house, and the sandy Lake Michigan. 5 minute drive to West Beach and trails in Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore.
Custom-built by a brick mason for his father some 40 years ago. Current owner, a prominent Chicago stone importer, remodeled with exotic natural stones and intentionally leave the driveway in original condition. Top-of-the-line modern amenities (Viking cooktop, Bosch washer/dryer, BainUltra jacuzzi, etc...) Central heat. Central a/c. (No dishwasher.)
If you rent this house you agree that it's a rustic hike-up house. This means it's at your own risk and you will not hold the owner responsible for you and/or your guests physical injury from an accidental slipping/falling within our private dune heaven, etc :)
- The view is so great and the house is surrounded by forest, we don't have any blinds or draperies, even in the bathrooms.
- No TV. No phone line. No WIFI. Yes CD player. Yes cell phone signals.
- There is a house next door, but it is boarded up -- no one living there.
- Lots of deers, squarrels, racoons, birds, and wild animals.
- Long-term Renters Welcome
- children welcome
- non smoking only
- pets not allowed
- wheelchair inaccessible
