Overview

Photos and Description of this 3 bedroom holiday home in Mystic - Lovely Mystic Retreat

Comfortable, newer 3 bed/2 bath, steps from river and village, yet peaceful

This is a newer home built with a style that fits perfectly in its historic district neighborhood. Comfortable, yet not stuffy, it is very easy to kick back and relax here. You'll love the open front porch for catching sea breezes and relaxing in the afternoon and evening, and the screened rear porch makes a cozy, inviting spot for morning coffee and other meals. The home affords decent privacy on a quiet and beautiful residential street - and in an amazing location - that is, if you like pleasant waterfront walks to and from an active and charming New England maritime village!

Downstairs has an open plan featuring the granite/stainless kitchen, breakfast bar, dining and living areas. On the first floor there is also a full bath and a queen bedroom (rear house entrance only requires three steps from grade to first floor). Upstairs are another queen bedroom, a bedroom with two twin beds and another full bathroom with laundry area.

This home is great for boaters who want to do a little land-lubbing; people with luck good enough for the area's big casinos; families enjoying the local museums, aquarium, etc.; couples, friends and others traveling from the nearby cities of Boston, New York and beyond to savor the local charm; and for couples and families in Mystic for a wedding in the area's beautiful setting. We are open to academic rentals, as well, and will give a lower monthly rate for the longer term.

Stay with us and find your own reasons to love the home, the village of Mystic and all of Southeast Connecticut.

We look forward to hosting your stay!

About John Brice

This is our summer home and we are opening it up to rental Guests for the first time in fall 2014. We love it, so if you are not staying there, we will be!

Why John Brice chose Mystic

We chose this property because of all the cultural and recreational amenities of southeast Connecticut, and Mystic in particular, as well as the broader region. We also do some boating in Mystic each summer.

What makes this house unique

Location, location, location! Quiet and peaceful, yet with an easy, beautiful walk to the heart of the village of Mystic.

Mystic Spring Break

  • 5 of 5

This home was quite lovely and everything we hoped for, and then some!

Impeccably clean, convenient to everything, we just could not have asked for more! I would definitely rent this property again

Just what we needed!

  • 5 of 5

It's so nice to come in to a rental and find fresh bread, olive oil and chilled wine, especially after a long day of travel. We also were provided with all the essentials (tp, paper towels, dish soap, etc) so there was no need to find a grocery store until the next day.

Thank you for going above and beyond!

Wonderful stay in Mystic

  • 5 of 5

We stayed with our toddler son and parents--the house was the perfect size for all of us. Extremely clean and with attention to small details (for example, the iPod player in the kitchen was fantastic!). We ate every meal in the enclosed porch; and had coffee in the morning on the front porch. It was an easy walk to Mystic, which was far more convenient than trying to drive there. The small private beach was perfect for our son; but we also made an easy trip to the beaches in RI. All in all--it was perfect. We would highly recommend and would love to come again!

Birthday Getaway

  • 5 of 5

My family and I wanted to escape for a few days for my 25th birthday and found this lovely home in Mystic, CT. My brother goes to the Coast Guard Academy so we wanted a location that was convenient to the school, but also allowed us to enjoy the town. This house is perfectly located, with the water right around the corner and the town center less than a ten minute walk away! The house was in perfect condition and was kept very clean. It felt like a home away from home and everyone greatly enjoyed thier stay! I loved the personal touches when we walked in with a binder with my name on it, which included all the information we needed to know about the house. We were also given some local treats, which we greatly enjoyed! I would highly recommend staying here and I know I will be back again in the near future!

The home has it all!

  • 5 of 5

We loved everything about this property. We felt right at home the moment we walked through the door. Everything we could possible need was available in this home. The location is absolutely perfect. We could walk into town with our children (who actually rode their scooters all around since the area was so quiet and free of many cars) and the proximity to the water was amazing. It's so picturesque! We were able to take advantage of all that downtown Mystic has to offer; coffee shops, art galleries, ice cream parlors, restaurants, a beautiful park and not to mention, the million dollar view; all within an 8 minute stroll! We were able to take advantage of dining in since the home is fully stocked with everything you could possibly need to cook a meal (minus the food) with ample space for everyone to comfortably sit and eat in a choice of breakfast bar, kitchen table, beautiful screened in porch or sitting on the front porch. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful, yet all the action is a stone's throw away. There is plenty of room for everyone to spread out with a large yard for kids to play after a busy day of hitting the Aquarium or the Seaport. We will definitely be back!

Owner's Response: Wow! Glad you liked it! You just did a better job writing the copy for our property listing than we did ourselves, so thank you for your kind remarks and we look forward to sharing the home with you again in the near future.
