Close to both downtown & the Highlands, local eateries like Checks and the Crescent Hill Craft house, this location served well for getting together. Quiet and safe neighborhoods to walk grandkids & pets. The property was clean and our host generous. A good time had by all !
We had a great weekend in Loiusville and could not be any happier with the house in any capacity. The location was great. We had places to walk to and virtually short drives to anywhere we wanted to go including the Louisville Slugger Museum, Bardstown and 4th st. The house is as nice as it looks and then some. There is seriou attention to detail from the bedding through to the art collected and displayed everywhere. The best part was our host James. His hospitality went above and beyond any rental I have done in the past. This home is great for 1st time VRBO-ers to help break the ice or settle any nervousness. We will without a doubt stay in this very house again!
We stayed with four persons for two weeks in this wonderful house as we had business in Louisville. What can I say: Everything was perfect!
The house is very clean, nice furnished and equipped with everything you need and even more. With its three bedrooms, three bathroom, and a big kitchen, dining and living room it is big enough not only for a family but also for our stay with four colleagues. The wifi, which we needed for business, is fast.
I can totally agree with one of the other reviewers: Often pictures and descriptions are better than reality, but this house even exceeded our expectations!
The owner James is extremely nice and helpful! He answered immediately to all requests. As the house was booked in our first night, James just organized a different accommodation for the first night.
James, many, many thanks!! We will definitively stay again in your house the next time we have business in Louisville! Have a nice and blessed Christmas time and a happy New Year!
Greetings from Germany,
I am a seasoned vacation property renter. I have stayed in many vacation rentals within and outside the U.S. This one tops them all in terms of value, quality, comfort and service. With two colleagues, I went to Louisville for a work trip and we loved the property. The price was terrific and the photos and description promised much. We were not disappointed! I arrived at the house at 1am after 3 flight cancellations coming from Los Angeles. James met met and graciously oriented me to the property and even had a bottle of wine sitting out for me.
The house is beautifully decorated with art work and lots of details to make you feel like you are at home. The house was spotless, the linens and bedding are very high quality and the kitchen was well stocked. James even provided some items that we would need in the morning like coffee, coffee filters etc. I was glad that there also were other basic spices, cooking and salad oils and vinegars since I like to cook when traveling. The front porch is lovely and the back patio has a nice sitting area and large BBQ. The bathrooms were well stocked with lotions, shampoo, conditioner and lots of plush towels. Since we were traveling just a week before Christmas, we really appreciate that James had a small lovely Christmas tree with uniquely beautiful decorations - just and example of James' magic touch. We also found the location to be ideal, as the area is quiet and only a few minutes driving distance from wonderful restaurants. James provided us a list of the best ones in town and we tried several.
I highly recommend this property and plan to come back to it during my next upcoming trip to Louisville. You won't be disappointed.
To spend time with our grandson and have thanksgiving with him. This was the first time I decided to do something different than just stay in a hotel, BEST decision I could have made! I ask for restaurant's and James delivered you MUST go to Jack Fry the house was just as he said it was clean, very cute, we had everything we needed.. James thank-you thank-you oh and your mom is just a doll! sorry we missed you..
As semi-native Louisvillians, we wanted something convenient and comfortable for this trip to the 'Ville. James' home was all of that and more. It was clean and cozy with plenty of charm. He has converted the den into a third bedroom and while the girls started out in separate bedrooms - they ended up watching TV at night in one and sleeping in the other. We were so busy that we didn't have a chance to enjoy the wine that was so thoughtfully left for us. This NuLu home was convenient for the football game at Papa Johns Cardinal Stadium and for visiting downtown to take in a basketball or volleyball game at the Yum Center, or a theater production or any of the outstanding museums. The Fish House with scrumptious beignets isn't far. And if you love stoneware, Louisville Stoneware is right around the corner.
