Welcome to Your New Kentucky Home located in the historic Highlands neighborhood in the Heart of Louisville, KY!

Welcome to the Highlands and 775 Goullon Court! Hello, my name is James, the owner, I try to live by these four agreements, and practice these principles in all of my affairs. Some days I do better than others, but, in my journey, I continue to grow and evolve as I honor my fellow human beings.

This home is situated between downtown Louisville (locals call it 'the Ville'), and the historic Highlands neighborhood.

*You are 4 blocks from the bustling Bardstown Road/Baxter Avenue corridor, the center of the Highlands neighborhood, with so many wonderful restaurants, and, chic, cool, shopping.

*5 blocks from East Market Street, the fashionable NULU District, where you will find award winning restaurants, and trendy boutiques.

*3 blocks from downtown Louisville, KY where you will enjoy more fabulous restaurants, museums, world class theatre, at the Kentucky Center for the Arts, and Actor's Theatre of Louisville, and many others!

*You are 8 blocks from Frankfort Avenue where you will experience even more acclaimed restaurants like the Blue Dog Bakery which has been featured numerous times in Southern Living, and is famous for it's crusty french bread!

Upon arrival, you will find the refrigerator stocked with complimentary water, gourmet coffee, and a free gift, a bottle of red or white wine, or a non-alcoholic beverage of your choice!

I will also offer a listing of popular attractions and locations, and my personal favorite restaurants in Louisville. Being in the hospitality business for so many years, I can offer my Local 'foodie' opinions and choices.

Whirlwind Weekend

As semi-native Louisvillians, we wanted something convenient and comfortable for this trip to the 'Ville. James' home was all of that and more. It was clean and cozy with plenty of charm. He has converted the den into a third bedroom and while the girls started out in separate bedrooms - they ended up watching TV at night in one and sleeping in the other. We were so busy that we didn't have a chance to enjoy the wine that was so thoughtfully left for us. This NuLu home was convenient for the football game at Papa Johns Cardinal Stadium and for visiting downtown to take in a basketball or volleyball game at the Yum Center, or a theater production or any of the outstanding museums. The Fish House with scrumptious beignets isn't far. And if you love stoneware, Louisville Stoneware is right around the corner.

Clean, Convenient and Comfortable. Location, Location, Location!

As a person who has worked in advertising, you often wonder about the truth of a particular product or service. Words and pictures sometimes feel too good to be true. Not in this case my fellow travelers. This wonderful home is exactly as described. The house is very well-appointed and can easily sleep several people. There are individual toiletries out, in the case you've forgotten something, plenty of fresh linens, towels and the like, and even gourmet coffee in the refrigerator for you to use.

The house sits nestled in a small cul-de-sac bucked up against both Broadway and Bardstown Roads. This make very easy access to both the downtown nightlife and the chic hipster life of Bardstown Road. Within a few mile radius of the house there are more places to shop and eat than you can "shake a stick at". With both adults and kids we enjoyed walking through the residential streets from this house to get to Bardstown Road and enjoyed seeing the many historic homes in the area. Although there are many close eateries, Ramsi's Cafe of the World is absolutely worth the drive if you feel inclined.

This was my very first experience using VRBO and, if this is any indication how the typical process works, I'll be using this site much more often! Working with James was an absolute breeze. Response was always quick and he was flexible to work within our needs. I will definitely recommend James' home for anyone I know travelling to the Luhl-vuhl area!

Home away from home...

We had a great stay at James' home. The location is perfect. Blocks away from Baxter Ave, location of many bars, restaurants and shopping. The house was immaculate and any question we had for James was a "text" away and response was immediate.
