Though I was born and raised in New England (New Hampshire, more specifically), I consider myself a California girl at heart. After studying at Boston University in the astronomy and physics program, I transferred to Emerson College to pursue a lifelong love of art and media. From there, I moved to San Diego, where I spent four years running my own underground booking agency, creating posters and album art, and hosting a weekly pirate radio show. After that came a year in San Francisco, which was completed with a cross country drive with my cats and some books and records, and then I settled in Brooklyn. I live in this wonderful apartment in Greenpoint, with my five year old daughter, Clementine, and those same cats. Occasionally, I still go to shows and sometimes sing in bands when people let me. I work in the enthralling world of health care advertising as an art supervisor and write stories in my spare time. I love exploring the world, so I travel often (for both work and pleasure), and try to bring Clementine with me whenever possible!
