Modern style blends with the historic character of this fully-renovated home. The house is equipped to entertain in comfort with a fully-equipped modern kitchen, large dining room and patio with gas grill. There are three bedrooms, one with a new pillow-top king mattress, one with a pillow-top queen, and the third is set up as a library with a very comfortable Ikea queen-size sleeper sofa. 1.5 bathrooms, with large soaking tub. We have AT&T U-verse with all premium TV channels and broadband internet with WiFi, and blu-ray/DVD with smart tv streaming services. There is a stereo with Bluetooth connectivity if you'd like to play music. The house will be professionally cleaned prior to your arrival.
The whole house is yours. Help yourself to any of the kitchen tools in the fully-equipped kitchen. Staples and spices are available if you'd like to cook.

I'll be there to welcome you, acquaint you with the house, and provide information on the neighborhood and events. You can expect complete privacy, but I can be easily reached by phone or text for assistance or advice. I love Louisville and will be happy to provide guidance to suit any taste to make your stay and experience of Louisville outstanding.
The house is located in the Highlands, Louisville's most vibrant and walkable neighborhood. Many of the city's best restaurants, ethnic and eclectic local dining spots, boutiques, galleries, and nightlife are within a few blocks. The house is a quiet refuge in the thick of the best of Louisville and Derby celebrations. A short walk gets you to the idyllic scenes, hiking, bike riding of the city's grandest park, Cherokee Park. Two farmers' markets are held on Saturday within easy walking distance for breakfast, mingling with the locals, and picking up locally-produced groceries.
The house is centrally-located less than 4 miles from downtown, Churchill Downs, and the airport. There is easy access to the city's bus system for travel through the Highlands, and express routes to downtown and Churchill Downs. For more information, visit the TARC website. Taxis are inexpensive in Louisville, and can be hailed less than a block from the house. Uber and Lyft operate smartphone-based private driver services in Louisville. Garage parking is available for one car, and street parking is readily available. It is also possible to walk to dining, nightlife, shops, and supermarkets from the house.

Please let me know if there are any special considerations or accommodations you require. We'll be happy to stock the fridge or provide supplies in advance of your arrival at cost. Let me know if you would like the third bedroom configured for sleeping. There is presently no TV on the first floor, but will move one to the living room if you would like.
I've lived throughout Kentucky all my life except for a year spent in Strasbourg, France. I've traveled extensively in Europe, Central America, and have recently ventured to South Asia. I love to stay in rental homes and apartments when I travel because it allows me to have a more genuine experience of a place. I love the home and love doing everything I can to make it a beautiful, comfortable place to live and entertain. The house is in a truly fantastic location, central to all Louisville has to offer. It is a quiet retreat in a vibrant, livable, walkable neighborhood full of character and local flavor that is matched by few in the US.
I fell in love with the house for it's historic character and great location in the Highlands neighborhood where great restaurants, parks, and shopping are in walking distance. I've lovingly restored and decorated the home, infusing modern style with the historic character of the house.
This house has it all. Located in a gentile historic neighborhood within walking distance of Cherokee park, restaurants and clubs. However it is far enough away so it is not noisy.
The home is clean, spacious and tastefully decorated. It is beautiful. I hope you will fall in love with it just like I did and I can not say enough how accommodating the owner Evan is.
