With breathtaking views of the Andalucia countryside, 30 minutes from Marbella

Beautifully maintained and furnished throughout, Guaro Hills is the ideal setting for a 'get away from it all' holiday of a lifetime. Approached via a hillside track, some 3km from the 'white village' of Guaro, the house has uninterrupted panoramic views of the Andalucian countryside and a fabulous swimming pool (13m in length) surrounded by terraces for sunbathing, relaxing and barbecuing. There's a further terrace/patio to the front of the house, again with fabulous views, and a garden with summerhouse. The house itself comprises two bedrooms (one double, one twin), full bathroom, cloakroom (with loop and basin),and spacious open-plan living room/dining area (with stylish, cathedral beamed ceiling), off which is a well-fitted kitchen. Although ideally suited for four, there is a day-bed/sofa in the living room which could sleep an extra person if required.

Ideal rural base: At Guaro Hills you can enjoy the best of two worlds, having a quiet country retreat to stay in while being ideally placed for day trips to places such as Ronda, Gibraltar, Granada, the wonderful lakes at El Chorro and the caves at Nerja. Malaga airport is only about 50 minutes away.

For golfers too...: if you're a keen golfer but don't fancy being stuck on a crowded complex, then Guaro Hills is the ideal solution - there are all the coastal courses within half an hour's drive - Calahonda, Marbella, etc - while the excellent inland courses at Alhaurin and Lauro are an easy drive away, just outside the 'white village' of Alhaurin el Grande. Notes: All bed linen and towels are provided, but please bring your own beach towels for sunbathing, etc. A sofa-cum-daybed could be used to sleep a fifth person. While perched on a hillside, the house and garden are all 'on the flat'. The villa is completely private and 'away from it all', yet it is less than 30 minutes to the coast (Marbella) and only 10 minutes to local 'white villages', shops, restaurants, etc.

We had a very enjoyable stay at this villa - the 13m pool is absoutely superb, and just the job on a baking hot day. There are other villas around, but this feels very private - we could hear the family at the villa further up the hill, but we never saw them - I don't think the pool is overlooked at all now. The views from here across to Guaro and the surrounding countryside are stunning. Inside, the villa is relatively basic, but has everything you need for a relaxing holiday - decent sized fridge, cooker, comfy sofas etc. The pool pump isn't so noisy, and it can be put on a timer if you prefer it that way. The track is a bit of an adventure, but if you take it carefully it's easy enough, and it gets easier the more times you drive it!
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

The perfect, picturesque villa!

The villa is beautiful! The views are amazing and it's very quiet and out of the way.The only real downside was the road to the villa; the last 100 metres being the worst. It is very poor and its full of craters. If you go here; be sure to hire a Jeep! Also, the air conditioning was very poor. The air-conditioning unit was in the lounge and that wouldn't work! All we had in the bedrooms was small fans and fans hanging from the ceiling that just circulated around the warm air instead of cooling it down! Plus, the washing machine in the kitchen leaks: be aware! But overall, you forget about the flaws when you have a fabulous private pool and beautiful views to love. If you are planning on staying here, if you don't mind poor air-conditioning and rough, long dirt tracks, go for it!

Guaro is a little gem and should be looked after

This was our second year here and it is the best villa we have had out of the way peacefull and the views are stunning,just a note for the new owners the access road is appaling the pool pump is rather loud and a few more bushes above the property to stop guaro heights looking down onto the pool would finish it off all in all the is a good renting villa but a few touch ups here and there because the previous owners have not really looked after it brilliant and will be back again but don't forget this is really out of the way along a dirt track so beware it is not near any shops but a car is a nessesity,
Recommended for:  Tourists without a Car, Sightseeing, Romantic Getaway
