It's winter, which means sledding, skiing, and snowmobiling. If you're looking to experience the solace that winter offers, look no further!
The property is pushed away from the main road, away from the hustle of everything so you will be able to enjoy peace and quiet.
There are two bedrooms, each with a queen sized bed. The loft has 3 twin beds and plenty of space to spread out if kids want to sleep on the floor. We have even included a blowup twin mattress. Remember, no bouncing on it. You could even put someone on the couch if you need to, though it's not terribly comfortable.
The 2 bathrooms feature large showers and full amenities including a stackable washer and dryer, heat, a hot water heater, and the best part: our natural well. You'll never taste water so good.
We just put down a lot of sod, which has minimized the amount of mosquitoes. It's been a great investment.
Enjoy the evening with our large patio, patio furniture and grill. And of course you will find plates, cutlery, cooking gear, and a working fridge, stove and microwave. If you would like us to activate the wifi, we can do so for an additional $15 a night.
(NOTE: In the pictures, you will see the cabin sits about 1/4 a mile away from a main, plowed road. During the winter, not even 4x4 trucks can make it up in the sometimes 4 feet of snow. Please do not try to make it up unless you have snowmobiles and possibly some ATVs. DO NOT hire someone around the area to plow the road for you. Most of the farmers do not appreciate being bothered.)
Why not?! During the summer, you have hiking, fishing, rafting, 4-wheeling, etc. It's one of the best places to spend the warmer months because it rarely gets above 90!
During the winter, there are trails to snowmobile, our hill offers kids some intense sledding (careful, it does get icy) and the seclusion and quiet offered is nowhere else on earth. It is truly a wonderful place to vacation.
This cozy cabin was just perfect for my grown son and I while visiting family in the Thayne area. When I say tucked away in the woods, it is exactly that. You cannot see this cabin from the road unless you really know where to look. But that's what we liked about it. It was a little difficult to find the gate to this property but once I called Alex he pointed me in the right direction. We found it right away. The road up could be interesting in the winter, but had no problem getting there. It is very private and nicely furnished. Great views from the upstairs deck. Alex was more than accommodating and a pleasure to work with. Will definitely be back soon.
I just need to start off by saying WOW! This cabin is just what my family needed to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. We loved the availability and flexible schedule of the owners. They were reasonable with pricing and very low on the cleaning fee. For what they offered we feel like we got more out of it. We were close enough to do things, such as Jackson hole (about 45 min away on a good day) and The Teton Village. The cabin is pristine and very clean and well kept. Something that I look for when I rent and something that will keep me coming back to stay at this cabin again. Our Host Alex was friendly on the phone and answered all the questions we had to make us feel comfortable about staying at his families cabin. I now see why he was passionate about this area. Beautiful Cabin, Beautiful Valley, and dont miss your chance to look up and see the stars!!
