Perfect quiet & secluded. Great security! All the comforts from home.
Very shallow beach but so fun to walk to the reef wall and discover nature on the way. Liked it so much we are re-booking!!
We had an excellent vacation at Frances and Benny's house in this corner of paradise :)
The house is very clean, well furnished and appointed with all you need, it is in a very quiet location, and the completely fenced yard with very soft grass was an extra bonus, as we had our dog with us.
The view is fantastic in any direction, and at high tide you can actually swim in the shallow waters in the front of the house. A short drive away (about 1 minute East) you have excellent swimming possibilities on a public beach if you desire deeper waters.
Jorge, the property manager is fantastic and made our stay very comfortable.
I would highly recommend this place to all of my friends and we are looking forward to returning here.
The house was very welcoming and clean, no sand to be found anywhere inside which seemed an impossible feat with the beach immediately out the back gate. Jorge was there upon our arrival to give us a quick tour and basic instructions. The view was amazing, just as shown in the pictures. (Be aware that this is not an open, white sandy beach.) The location was convenient for shopping, restaurants and the public beach. We did have some issues (which is why only 4 stars). There was no hot water in either bathroom sink, the indoor kitchen or the outdoor kitchen. There was hot water in both showers but each had it's own trick to make it work. We had power outages for several hours 2 of the days which meant that the power gate to the property didn't work and we couldn't get the car out. We figured there had to be a manual method to open the gate for emergencies but it was not obvious. With difficulty we did get it open which surprised Jorge. (There DEFINITELY should be instructions on how to do this in case there is an emergency.) The house has one strange configuration which didn't effect us since we only used 2 bedrooms. However, if you use the third bedroom the only access to the bathroom is through the second bedroom. We could see that there used to be a door to the bathroom in the hallway. It would be more convenient for larger families if that would be put back in. In spite of these issues we had a GREAT time and would consider renting again. Jorge told us that the owners would be coming down to fixing the hot water problem and adding a generator which would make this an extremely desirable place to stay.
an exceptional time. the home was nice and exactly as described. one shower was out of commission which would normally make for a frustrating issue in a family of girls; however, the personal attention given by the owners and representatives was amazing and more than made up for the shower issue. They helped arrange tours and transportation when everyone else on the island said "impossible". You can not put a price on that.
We just can back from a week at Frances and Benny's house in Rio Grande. We had a great time in their house. We were 4 adults and 3 childrens with enough room for everybody. The house is very clean, well furnished, comfortable beds, the outside living and cooking areas are excellent features of the house. The view is awesome, there's good snorkeling right in front where the reef drops deeper. You have to walk out about a 100 meter to reach the drop (watch out for the urchins), or down the beach about 300 m to reach the end of the reef. Nice calm and shalow swiming spots for children. But most of all, the owners do all they can to make sure you're stay goes well. They even bought a brand new crib for our friends baby boy. Also, Jorge, the property manager was very helpful, and catered us a great meal in his lovely home with his wife Pilar who made delicious deserts. The only down side was that there were no screen on the windows, and mosquitos outside, but Frances told me they would be taking care of that shortly. We definitely recommend the house as a great holiday rental .
My wife and I, along with our children spent several days in Rio Grande, PR. The residence was beautiful. The beach was literally feet from our back porch showing us the Caribbean each morning and evening.....The house was very clean and supplied beautifully......We went to the Rain Forest which was 15 minutes from the beachfront home. The neighbors were very friendly and accomodating. The beach house was a great choice and we certainly will be back to enjoy it. I would highly recommend this residence to anyone wishing to have a relaxing and very enjoyable vacation.....
Let me start off by saying that I found paradise. Paradise for me is where I can wake up each morning and breath in earth, make my own cup of coffee and enjoy Mother Nature. I knew I would be staying at a beach house, but what I didn't know was that each day would be a different piece of art. The ocean was like a canvas that constantly changed. The walks down the beach were so amazing. Finding perfect sea shells, seeing the beauty of drift wood and my favorite... The sand dollars. The house was a lot bigger than I thought. Very spacious, great dining area and all the furniture options to accommodate you. But I have to be honest and say that we used the outdoor area more than anything. It was fantastic cause no matter how sunny, you can be under shade and the outdoor kitchen was at our finger tips. Although there were many near by restaurants and places to grab some local drinks, I opted for a bottle of Don Q coco, Ice and some pineapple juice. The outdoor kitchen had everything we needed to mix up some cocktails without the extra cost. The backyard beach is protected by a barrier reef. So you can walk out a good 50 yards and the water doesn't past your knees. The house even had some water socks and snorkeling gear ready for use to explore. I found that so interesting and really added a whole activity I wasn't accounting for. Just a short enchanting walk, you can enjoy a dip in the beach. Again, those fragile amazing sand dollars take my breath away. There were a few people on the beach, but a very private oasis. I found it so interesting as the waves would come in from two different directions and crash together. On our walk back to the beach house we saw a small group of people riding horses on the sand, must have been from Rio del mar. Just left me with more ideas to do on my next visit to the beach house. Can't wait to take the kiddos this summer. The owners were so polite and warned us about any issues that can arise, like this one un leveled step in the house. I can see how it can be a concern and they advised that they will be addressing it ASAP. The neighborhood was very safe and a left and a right off the main road. I did notice that homes around the rental were mostly residents which I found comforting. One neighbor greeted us and told us if we need any assistance to feel free to let him know. Overall I felt at home, safe, but of course in paradise!
