This Post WWII stone house was hand-hewn by its original owner who spent 10 years digging through the rocks on the property's quarry. Updated at the beginning of 2014, this working farm is within a half-day's journey to numerous Upper Cumberland attractions, trails, and waterfalls. If guests prefer access to the urban, a Nashville, Knoxville or Chattanooga trip is with an hour-half journey. Numerous golf courses are a stone's throw as well. Guests are welcome to walk the trails on the property or cycle down Brotherton Mountain.

Lovely rustic farmhouse. They have made it modern and comfy, but lost none of its charm. We had a terrific stay. Owners were very accommodating. Hope to stay longer next time!
Very unique experience. So much to look at and was very impressed with how they preserved the original integrity of the house and yet made "old" beautiful and comfortable.
A group of friends from the Nashville area rented this cabin for a weekend trip. The decor throughout the cabin contributed to the beautiful atmosphere. The property owner provided great communication leading to the trip and the cabin was very clean. I've already recommended this cabin to my friends.
This was such a great spot! My wife and I really loved the chance to get away from Nashville without having to drive far. The style of the house was amazing, one of the most creative renovations we've seen with all the right touches. We love older homes with character and this was the perfect place for us to unwind.
We found the space very cozy and spent the whole weekend on the property picking vegetables from the garden, watching for frogs at the pond, and walking back to see the cows and Sampson the horse. We made a fire in the fire pit, cooked all of our meals in the kitchen and had plenty of space to just sit and read a book, inside and out.
The owners were very easy to work with and were very willing and quick to respond to our questions. We did have to bring a few cooking items of our own, but this was mostly because of our preferences and they were honest about what they had. They even hooked up an extra freezer for us to use!
We were told that the house is on a working farm and that it wasn't uncommon for the family to be seen driving up and down the driveway. This was true, as trucks came and went several times throughout the weekend. It was a bit more activity than we expected, but everyone was very friendly and respected our privacy!
Overall, we would DEFINITELY recommend this place and hope to make it back in the winter sometime!
My sister and several friends and I rented this house for a weekend trip and were so in love with the rustic cottage!! Adorable details throughout the house, but also, just a relaxing and peaceful vibe. Great setting, beautiful farmland surrounding, and Anna was a pleasure to work with :-) I've already talked to my husband about staying here in the future!
My husband and I were in awe of this place. It is beautifully and tastefully restored. When we arrived, one of the owners was there and gave us a tour of the house. It was nice to see all the history that was kept within while incorporating new items. It would be the way I would want my retirement home to be...cozy and relaxing.
