Photos and Description of this 5 bedroom holiday villa in Nerano - Elegant, Classic Seaview Villa
Villa for max 14 persons. It can be rented in small2/ 5p) or large (7/9p) units.
This stunning Villa dates back to the beginnings of the 20th century (a.d. 1920) and is immersed in a wonderful mature Mediterranean garden, overlooking the sea of MARINA PICCOLA. It is a perfect, romantic hideaway, but at the same time a stone throw (just 7 minutes by foot) from the famous 'Piazzetta' in Capri full of life, restaurants and bars, an ideal luxury shopping area. In our garden you can relax on the wonderful oldstyle wooden deckchairs and sip your drinks looking at the sea surrounded by Pine-, Lemon-, Olive- and Palm-Trees, with an intense Rosmarine flavour or Jasmine parfurm under the pergola. Or descend to the beach (Marina Piccola) with a 12 minutes walk, to swim in the incredible turquoise crystal waters. The Villa has characteristic local architecture features like white columns on PATIO and vault on the roof of the internal rooms, alternated to the 'pompeian' typical red colour of the walls (it is named “Casa Rossa”).
The apartments are all equipped with Air-Conditioning (in every bedroom), WIFI and cable TV. You can have lunch and dinner in the garden on a big table sitting 10-12 people. In the evening the incredibile scent and colours of jasmine, bougainvilles and plumbago surrounds you and transforms this in a real magical place. On request is possible to organise, at extra cost, daily cleaning/ cooking service.

About Maria Poma Murialdo
I got this property from my family.
This historic House is a dependance of the large Villa built by NORMAN DOUGLAS pioneer of Tourism in Capri during the 1920. Soon after he built it, he was called back in the UK by his family because of the industrial crisis and the bankruptancy of the Foster family. At this moment my uncle decided to buy the property together with the dependance. After retiring from appointed Governor of the Island of Rhodes, where he had spent several years, he decided to move to the Island of Capri, the only that could remind him the atmosphere and beauty of Rhodes. After several refurbishments, the RED HOUSE got enlarged and the garden became mature. So I keep on spending money on this jewel. My passion!
Maria Poma Murialdo purchased this villa in 1935
Why Maria Poma Murialdo chose Nerano
It is a UNIQUE and HISTORIC site since the beginning of the tourism in the island of Capri in the 1920 and I inheritated it from my family, please read above!
What makes this villa unique
Stunning View, vast Mediterranean mature garden , central but also away from the crowds. Close to Marina Piccola Beach, characteristic in style and beauty. The typical Pompeian red on the walls alternated to the white columns, the Patio and the Pergolato has always characterized this Classic house, that's why it is called RED HOUSE.
Come to enjoy and relax in this magical historial site!
