Centrally located on east coast of Kauai, commonly known as the Royal Coconut Coast. If you have found this property you have found a Jewel. No other coastline provides you with central access to both north and south shores; no other coastline provides you the famous kauai coastal bike path to deserted white sand beaches. Kapa'a Sands is one of the most sought after destination points due to its island access and uniqueness. No Parking fees, no wifi fees, no resort fees, and no amenity fees. This is a small boutique property that is preserved in the 'old Hawaiian charm' and is the closest property to waters edge.
My wife Christine and I came to Kauai and immediately fell in love with this place. We are so excited to have been given the opportunity to own and share it as a vacation rental with you!
Dennis & Christine Vogel purchased this studio in 2014
After touring the island and then walking and biking along the coconut coast, It became very apparent to us that this location offered a unique opportunity to experience 'old Hawaii' the way it used to be. Other places are quite nice but none have the 'end of the road' feeling of peaceful seclusion and being lost in paradise.
Built on the historical site of an old Shinto temple where mountains, gardens, rivers and ocean meet have made this the best location on island.
My husband and I had the best time staying at this property. Our neighbors were so friendly and the view was awesome. We wished we could have stayed in this condo the 8 days of our trip. We look forward to staying here again.
We really loved this unit and complex! It was quiet and had incredible views of the ocean. The king bed was great for us. And the kitchen met all our needs. We really like the central location for touring and restaurants.
Better than expected. So many extras, such as binoculars, snorkel equipment etc. made it a most enjoyable time. Tastefully decorated and very clean. View is supberb!
This studio condo was just the perfect size for my husband and I. It is well appointed and clean. The owners obviously payed extra attention to detail with high end linens and towels (and a martha stewart blanket that I am going to go out and buy for myself!). The view is amazing. The property is lovely and we used the onsite laundry and it was easy. It is a great central location for anything you want to do on Kauai.
I’m sure you all have heard it said that there are three things that primarily contribute to the value of a property, those three things being: location, location, & location. That being said, this condo has it all. Centrally located on the East side of the island, it is less than 6 miles from the airport, and ideally situated for short daytime excursions to explore the north shore and/or the south end of the island. The buildings and grounds are very well maintained with lush tropical landscaping and since it is not a large complex, it is peaceful and quiet and just a great place to relax. The sounds from the ocean and the wonderful tropical breezes makes for the best sleeping one can even imagine. The water’s edge is literally mere steps from your lanai and the views up and down the coastline are breathtaking. There is a great view of the ocean right from your king-size bed.
Apart from exploring the island, everything one needs can be obtained within walking distance. If you like hiking, there is a great trail for biking and hiking which passes right alongside the complex. Paradise Bakery is directly across the street and has great pastries to go along with your early morning cup of coffee. Shopping, restaurants, and markets are close by, all within walking distance. We love to eat at home so we found the full size kitchen, well stocked I might add, to be just what the Dr. ordered. I don’t think the view from the lanai can be matched by any restaurant.
Since I and my wife are getting up in years, we were less inclined to engage in all the activities younger people would enjoy so we were mostly content to just relax and enjoy the beauty of the place and what Kauai is all about. We will definitely plan a repeat of our vacation to Kauai and Kapaa Sands.
My family stayed in 4 rooms at the Kapaa Sands and had an amazing time. The beach was perfect for strolling, snorkeling, and strong swimmers. My husband and I swam every morning while my parents looked for shells and my siblings snorkeled. We had family breakfasts and enjoyed our rooms immensely.
This is an amazing location in which you are walking distance to just about anything and everything you need. There is a reason they call this the royal coconut coast!!!
