1 Bed, 1 Bath, sleeping up to 2 adults and 1 child on the 3 seater sofa bed.

Treat yourself to a romantic or family break: a privately owned, beautifully furnished apartment is situated on the fourth floor with elevator access and unrestricted views to the south - south east, of the beach and sea. Sit on the private balcony in the warm evening sun and watch the yachts and pleasure craft entering the harbour. The sound of the sea on the shore can be heard as you are lulled to sleep.

The apartment has beautiful private gardens surrounded by highly scented bougainvillea flower trees. There are 2 large communal swimming pools. The building has 24 hour security and there is a nominated secure garage parking space underground. The apartment is shielded from but within a minutes walk of the Marina with it's three tiers of restaurants and bars.

The property is managed by a nearby English owned and speaking company who are available at all times to answer your questions or deal with your problems.

Within 30 minutes to 1 hours drive: We would be happy to advise on any of the following.

15 minutes. Sotogrande. Where the real rich live not at Peurto Banus!

30 minutes to Cesares. A typical white washed Spanish village clinging to the cliff walls. Walk down the steep winding alleyways to the tiny town centre at the bottom. Explore the ruined Castillio and the modern church where kestrels reside in the belfry and around the back where there is a huge cliff about 300 feet deep. Also Gryphon vultures nest in the mountains to the right.

30 minutes to Tarifa and look out over the Straits of Gibraltar to North Africa. Wind surfing and horse riding along the beach are available. A real 'wind surfies' paradise.

30 minutes to Gibraltar. Steeped in British Naval History and tours around the 'Rock' to see the sites and the Barbary apes. Duty free shopping.

1 hour to Cadiz. A beautiful town with many attractions and tiny side streets where plazas seem to appear around every other corner. The Spanish Armada sailed from here.

Within 2 hours drive.: Jerez de la Frontera. Where the sherry bodegas reside. Arrange a visit around a bodega and try the different sherries. Also Jerez is home to the world famous Real Escuela Del Art Abrantes (the Spanish riding school) a fantastic show of 1 and a half hours where the Andalucian stallions almost dance to the music in total synchronisation.

Seville. So many sites, so little time! Take a tour around the city by horse and carriage. A wonderful place to tour on foot also. So the Spanish say it is the home to Romeo and Juliet (although Verona would disagree!) and if you are lucky, as we were, you can sit in the public gardens nearby and listen to a Spanish guitar practice with the birds singing in the background.

Grenada. Visit one of the wonders of the world at the Moorish palace of the Alahambra Palace. A magnificent place to visit and wonder around soaking up the history of when the Islamic influence in Spain was at its height. A once in a lifetime opportunity and not to be missed.

Still within 2 hours drive: Grenada (continued). Also the home of Spanish Flamenco. Take in a show in the old quarter to understand the intracacies of this dance.

Cordoba. Founded by the Romans in 169BC the city was a Roman colony for 8 centuries. With Moorish influences from the invasion of 711Cordoba has much to offer from the tiny alleyways of the Jewish quarter to famous Moorish Mezquite with the Catholic cathedral at its centre. If you are lucky enough to visit in May you can take in part of the May fiesta culminating in the last week with the Feria de la Salud where the women dress up in their traditional costume (not for the tourists but as their way of celebration), the cassetas offer food and drink to all and themen parade up and down on their horses and with horses and carriages. A sight not to be missed!!

EXCELLENT LOCATION FOR A RELAXING BREAK

La Duquesa features a quiet marina and beach situation, but with ample restaurants, shops etc. for a perfectly relaxing holiday. Apparently the resort only gets very busy in the late July/ August period when Spain takes its Summer break.
The fourth floor apartment's height enhances what are already excellent sea views, and has an ample sized balcony for meals etc.
The management team for this complex are thoroughly professional in terms of the checking in/out procedures and security arrangements during your stay, making everything hassle free.
The owners couldn't be more helpful.
Would thoroughly recommend this accommodation - clean and stocked with all the amenities necessary for a pleasant self catering experience.

FANTASTIC PLACE

Had a fantastic stay at Marina Real, a lovely apartment in a beautiful location.

Firstly thanks to Dave who advised us with information on local car hire, directions and places to eat and drink.

When we arrived we were shown to our apartment by a really friendly guy from the management team. The apartment itself was everything we had hoped for, spotlessly clean, well maintained and modern with a lovely balcony.

The marina itself was beautiful with plenty of places to eat and drink, the beach bars and restaurants further along were also lovely so we were spoiled for choice.

Would highly recommend this apartment and location to couples of all ages as there seemed to be a mixed spread of age groups and everyone seemed well catered for.

Will definately be returning, hopefully soon...

We chose this apartment for a relaxing holiday and found this area to be perfect for what we wanted. It is within easy walking distance of the beach and bars and restaurants at the marina. The apartment was well equipped for self catering if you wished with several supermarkets within easy reach. Dave provided us with helpful information and directions which made finding the apartment easy, there were also maps and information leaflets at the apartment. When we arrived everything was clean and we had no problems during our stay. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely return and highly recommend to friends and family.

Having rented David's apartment in October 2010 we then booked it for a 6 week stay in January/February 2011 and loved every minute. It started to feel like our second home. David is a joy to talk to and is extremely well organised.
We explored many of the local and further afield places of interest in our little hire car.
We intend to return later in the year and probably next year........

MARINA REAL

We stayed at this apartment for five days at the beginning
of July and it was wonderful. The apartment itself is
excellent nicely decorated and well equipped. The view of
the sea just made it for us. The location was brilliant with
all the bars, restaurants etc all close by and really good.
We drove to Casares and Sotogrande but there were a lot
more places to go if we had been there longer. We were
quite happy spending our time at the apartment/ pool/beach and in
Duquesa.

With the sea in front and the mountains behind and being in close proximity to the beautiful cities of Seville and Grenada, this is one of the undiscovered beauties of the Costa Del Sol. The fortress Rock of Gibraltar is 30 minutes drive away. Grenada contains the world famous Moorish Alahambra Palace, a sight not to be missed. Skiing is also available in season in Grenada. Golf courses, including Championship courses abound. Horse riding and lessons can be arranged at the Spanish riding school nearby and sailing from the port itself. From water sports to winter sports, this is the ideal spot.

In May and June the sun arrives on our terrace at 0800 and leaves at 1630. It arrives on the pool sun terrace (1 minute and 2 floors directly down) at 0900 and leaves at 1830. At the far pool it leaves at 2000 and stays on the beach until sunset so there is all round sunshine all day when the sun is shining.

Golf: The Costa del Sol is also known as the Costa Golf. There is a local golf course just across the main road (about 3 minutes away) and Finca Cortesin the home of the Volvo Match Play Championship is 15 minutes away by car on the road to Cesares. Villerama is about 20 minutes away by car toward Gibraltar. There are innumerable golf courses to choose from.

Notes:
Duquesa beach and Marina are literally out of the apartments front door. The apartment has guard facilities so that no unauthorised access can be gained. Within the apartment there is a an IPOD docking station and flat screen TV. The Marina is occasionally busy but is never overpowering. The Marina boasts many facilities on 3 levels and there is an array of shops and restaurants and general utility shops. There is a small supermarket about 30 metres away. Low cost car rentals from Malaga have been negotiated with Crown Rentals and full directions to the apartment with a wealth of other information is available on booking and within the apartment itself. Advice on attractions and sporting activities can be made available prior to booking but includes horse riding, sailing, water sports, jet skis, golf with the nearby championship course of Villerama and Finca Cortesin. Discounts for some golf courses can be arranged. Smoking is allowed on the balcony only please
