One can really get in touch with the quieter side of life here; but then again; there is always something or some place to go - if that's your choosing. I have many years of Treasured Memories here and in this life, I think everyone needs a little down time.
Convenience to Mass, Rhode Island borders, a few hours away to Vermont, New Hampshire ski resorts. And of course, Connecticut's coast line filled with rich historic places to see.
Thank you for sharing your house with us! We had an amazing time! The kids were so happy to be there and didn't want to leave. We made memories that will last a lifetime...most of the children caught their very first fish! So Special!! Your neighbors were great and very friendly. My son Adam made friends with Henry..turns out they have a few things in common:) wish we could've stayed longer!
A small group of our friends rented this house for a long weekend last summer and had an amazing time! Pat was more than helpful in making sure that we had everything we needed for the duration of our stay; leaving a list of places to go see, local restaurants, and even the names of some golf courses in the area. The house was nice and clean when we arrived, but best of all, there were no surprises … what we saw in the AD was exactly what we got when we showed up! It’s a terrible feeling when you show up to enjoy your vacation, only to find out that the house you rented is not what you expected! The house stayed nice and cool during hot days; there is a fan system located in the middle of the house that circulates the air and cools it down quickly. There was a grill that Pat let us use, so we spent most of our time outside grilling and swimming in the water (what other reason would you rent a house on the water for??). The sand as you enter the water is level for several yards, which made it great for lounging around in a beach chair or just simply enjoying each other’s company. This was the quiet oasis we were all looking for. We always like to stay at new places each summer when we get together, but this house is on the short list of destinations for next year again. We absolutely recommend this place to anyone!
My father, brothers and I used the camp as home base during a recent visit to the area. We were going to be in the area for a week and thought it might be better to rent a house instead of a local motel. The cost of renting the house was a little more expensive than the motel we normally use but we saved money by cooking our own meals at the house. The house is in great shape and has a terrific view of the lake and an adjacent apple orchard. My siblings and I agree that this was a much better option than renting a motel. We were relaxed all week and really enjoyed the house and its surroundings. The property owner Pat is accomodating and friendly. I never felt like I was in someone elses house; It felt like home away from home. This is a great place to relax and the area is beautiful. Thanks again for a great stay.
