This gorgeous single family home has been built conscientiously and to a high standard by its owners. As of this year it is newly completed and ready for occupancy!
You will appreciate the high standard the owners have put into this gorgeous property: beautiful granite, substantial furniture, tasteful décor. They use this home regularly themselves, so they make sure it is comfortable, well-appointed, and beautiful. The attention this home receives from its owners and manager keeps it clean and welcoming.
The open-concept main room is complemented by slate and wood flooring, numerous windows with lots of natural light as well as well-placed lighting fixtures, granite and stainless steel in the kitchen, substantial and quality furnishings, and beautiful décor. The wood stove that anchors this space adds a warm, rustic touch. It’s the perfect space for family and group gathering, allowing for conversation, board games, watching movies, gourmet cooking, and making memories of all kinds.
Four bedrooms are accessed down the hallway. Each bedroom has beautiful wood doors and floors, quality furniture, fresh bedding, and natural light. The first bedroom on the left sleeps two in a queen bed. Across the hallway is a second queen bedroom, suiting another couple. At the end of the hallway are two other bedrooms, one with a set of twin bunk beds, the other with a queen bed, comfortably sleeping four additional guests.
The bathrooms in the home are fresh, tasteful, and well-appointed. The main bath features a slate floor and a magnificent granite-topped vanity and a comfortable shower stall. The second, a half-bath, also has the nice touch of granite and slate. There is also a laundry room for your use, with a full-size washer and dryer.
Outside, the patio hosts a nice BBQ grill for preparing your world-class salmon catch. Just up the hill, with magnificent views of the surrounding area and majestic Mount Cecil, is a firepit (chairs provided) where you will get to enjoy the midnight sun, the sounds of the gurgling creek, and the fresh air!
This property is surrounded by mature spruce forest mixed with aspen and birch, screening it from the quietly traveled and well-maintained road. About Jessica Larsen
My name is Jessica, and I am the manager of this property. I have taken care of high-end vacation rentals in this area for more than three years, and have a long history before that in the hospitality lodging industry. My husband, Courtney, and I have recreated in Cooper Landing for decades; we know the best hiking trails, tour companies, fishing guides, etc., and are more than happy to share our local knowledge with you. We only manage a small number of properties, so we can give each the individual attention it and its guests deserve. We would be pleased to host you!
The owners of this beautiful house live in Anchorage, 100 road miles away, with their two children. They purchased the property many years ago, and have been building this, their dream vacation home, on the site for the past several years. It is just now completed; they have impeccable taste and have made sure it has all the nice details. You will be impressed with the quality they have brought into their little slice of paradise: they care about beauty and details and want to share it with guests who will appreciate the comforts of home they have incorporated.
Why Jessica Larsen chose Cooper Landing
As manager, I am delighted to have this home in my care because of its quality and ambiance. The fact that the owners have put so much personal care into the property and use it themselves when they can makes it feel particularly comfortable to stay in. They care about doing things right and so do I.
The owners discovered this piece of land by great coincidence many years ago. Most residents of Southcentral Alaska love Cooper Landing – accessible and central in the vast Kenai Peninsula, surrounded by mountains, rivers, National Forest, and National Wildlife Refuge lands. They have dreams and plans for this space, placed right in the middle of their favorite recreational spaces; it’s exciting for them to share it with you!
What makes this house unique
This home is easy to access, not far from a quietly traveled and well-maintained road, but screened from it by mature spruce forest, mixed with aspen and birch. From the firepit, perched up on the hill, you can hear Bean Creek gurgling by, admire Mount Cecil, and enjoy the small community feel of rural Alaska. It’s a great place to make memories.
