This is a top floor unit with two private bedrooms and two open sleeping lofts. The are a total of four queen beds that allow up to eight guests to sleep comfortably here.
We are located just a ½ mile from the Ballard downtown core yet; we are far enough removed that you can enjoy a peaceful night sleep in our quiet, friendly and safe neighborhood.
The apartment occupies the entire 3rd floor, it has windows in all four sides, letting in lots of natural light that combined with the high ceiling make it feel airy and spacious.
Ray Freeman, the local architect designer of our property displays this home in his website. There he mentions he was inspired by Ballard's maritime heritage.
In clear days we get a beautiful view of Mount Rainier and the Space Needle from the unit’s entrance and south facing loft.
The apartment comes with all the standard amenities that you would expect to find in a regular hotel: ironing board and iron, hair dryer, soap, shampoo, toothpaste, coffee maker, toaster, toilet paper, clean linens.

Ballard has being called by some a foodie’s paradise for its many and diverse restaurants, bars, cafes and bakeries. It attracts young and less-young people with active lifestyles because of the many outdoor activities available here. There is the 27-mile multi-use recreational Burke-Gilman trail, Golden Gardens Beach and park, an indoor rock climbing gym, kayaking, fishing, boating and bicycling and other outdoor activities.
The bus stop is at the corner of our block. There, you can take routes #18 and #40; both will take you to downtown Seattle. Route #40 (I am more familiar with) takes you to downtown in 30 minutes at a cost of $2.25. In its northbound route it will take you to the Northgate Mall. Route #44 on Market Street will take you to UW.
Google Maps works particularly well with the public transportation option in the Seattle area. You can also download to your phone the One Bus Away App that was designed by a local UW graduate student.
Originally from Cuba I have been a resident of Seattle for 20 years. I love to travel abroad and have visited many countries in Europe, North and South America. I love meeting new people and learning from other cultures. In the picture: El Poso de Jacinto. Aguadilla, Puerto Rico.

If you are familiar with Seattle you know how beautiful, cosmopolitan and welcoming this city is. When previously living in the North end of the city I found myself coming to Ballard again and again following tips from friends for restaurants, bakeries, pubs and outdoors activities. We chose to live in Ballard because it is a safe, clean neighborhood surrounded by good schools with lots of outdoor activities, like walking, running, bicycling, rock climbing etc.
Conveniently located in the Ballard area. Walking distance to: NW Market St, Ballard public library, Golden Gardens, Hiram M. Chittenden Locks, restaurants, french bakery, pubs and bus stops to Downtown Seattle (#40 south), Northgate Mall (#40 North) and Udistrict (#44 West).
My family had the pleasure of staying here for a week in June. We had a phenomenal time, and the house was perfect for our needs. The apartment is so unique, and despite seeming small initially, it was actually quite spacious and comfy! The owners are kind, responsive, and tremendously helpful!
This was our first visit to the Seattle area and we really loved staying here. The place was very clean and modern, and yet felt very comfy and homey. I loved the ability to have the 4 separate rooms for myself and our young adult children. It was so close to the main street, Market, that we could walk for drinks and for the wonderful Sunday Market, and yet still close to Downtown to see Pike's Market and the wonderful Public Library. And if you love good food try La Isla, a Puerto Rican delight right on corner of 24th and Market!
We had so much fun staying in our rental in Ballard. It was very comfortable and so convenient to our daughter's home and downtown Ballard. Mario was so helpful and was always there when we needed him.
Clean, quaint, great location! Perfect for my family of six (ages 5-15). Owner communicated well and fast. Thanks Mario!
1. Great location-- walkable to many restaurants, bus stops to downtown seattle, grocery stores, hair/nail spas, pubs, bakeries. 2. attentive host-- all concerns were addressed promptly. 3. beds were comfortable, living quarters were very clean, great kitchen to prepare meals with. 4. lots of windows so very sunny and breezy. Would certainly recommend this place to friends/family and would return for sure!
We had 5 adults stay in the apt for a week. It was very clean and comfortable (especially the beds). The apartment descriptions are all accurate. Ballard is a nice neighborhood. We had convenient parking and were fairly close to a QFC grocery store. We used the kitchen daily for coffee and breakfast (it's small but has everything you need). I would highly recommend this place to anyone!
